    The truss rod covers also usually say something other than standard ones, i.e the year it's specific to. To me it looks like a normal FNA Jazzman.

    I can't vouch for peavey but I do hear a lot of praise for them! Yamahas are really good quality for the value. Ibanez sr500's are fairly decent and can be picked up second hand usually really cheap

    Love Meshuggah and Haake is a phenomenal drummer. Saw them live last year and they were insanely tight (especially considering what they were playing!)

    For people in Glasgow, the bass will be in Audio on the 18th of December and it's only 3 quid to get in if you wish to come along and laugh at me getting confused by simple basslines as well as 3 people who actually know how to play the thing!

    This isn't string related but I did have the 9v battery die on 2 basses at the one time within 5 minutes of each other at a rehearsal.
