At this price an absolute steal!
agreed. if only I could get along with 4 strings and a precision pickup!

3.
I can imagine that some are searching for 'the one", and having some great pleasure along the way. The used market is flooded at the moment, and as one BC member noted earlier, you can buy and sell, and the sums lost in a transaction can be counted as little more than a "rental" fee.
This.
4.
Don't do it buddy, or if you must then please get it done by a pro as it is too beautiful a bass to mess up! The Twin J pickups are fantastic, though, and having two with coil taps on both would be awesome!
it would be done professionally but ideally I don't want to modify such a bass. Will give it more time on the marketplace before I do anything brash though.

6.
!!!
I know...but I really don't like the p-bass tone
7. Ive had 2 35" scale basses (Lakland 5501 and a Spectorcore 5) and didnt notice a difference in feel of the bass but the Low B sounded much more present than any 34" scale bass I've owned. Ive noticed a lot of really nice 5 string basses in the marketplace that were 33" which perplexes me but I guess I can't knock it till I've tried it!
8. Figure while it doesn't look like it's going anywhere, heres my Dirty Blonde Thumb bass I know it must break a billion unwritten rules of owning such a bass but I'm very close to taking out the P pickup and adding another twin jazz pickup... 9. I'm going to be honest, I hate Rickenbackers and practically everything about them. Saying that, I saw the walnut 4003 in guitarguitar the other day and it was seriously pretty. I felt dirty for liking it.
10. Been wanting to try one of these for ages now
11. I have only played one in the shop when testing out an amp and a few pedals but I have to say as far as Ibanez goes, I was seriously impressed. Really lightweight and very comfortable to play and sounded really nice too. I was only sitting down but it felt really well balanced.
12. Elixirs do everything I look for in strings. But saying that, Rotosounds are (in my opinion) the worst I have tried so there is a fair chance we look for different qualities in strings.
13. Audio in Glasgow is by far the worst venue I've ever played in. Hell, I'd say its the worst venue I've ever been in. Horrible little place in every way possible. Sound was pretty crappy, it was freezing cold, damp, smelly, the bar was very expensive (drinks were also pretty warm), bar service was rude and scarce, the in-house sound guy kept adding Distortion to any bass DI at random points (mid songs and to songs that do not need distortion) and to top it all off the venue was expensive. I didn't pay for it but it was apparently around £200 to hire the venue for the night.
14. Everytime I see this I just wish someone would buy my Warwick. The market really is awful at the moment, so many amazing basses on here but not many buyers
15.
its a shame this is not a 5 string one....in that case would be mine right now
were it a 5er it wouldn't be up for sale, shame too
16. If only I had the money! Good luck with the sale
17. Saw them live a few months back. Was most amazed by the singer! Brillant band and another Karnivool fan here too
18.
At least 200mg of Tramadol and some clean pants.
I wish my gigs were that exciting!
