1. To the top. Or bottom if your screen is upside down.
2.
+1 I also use the ER20s there really good especially for the price
Same here. Lost a pair one time. Less than 10 minutes later ordered a new pair. Cheap, pretty comfortable and no ringing after rehearsals.
3. Bought this a few months back just before christmas but since then I think I've played it for a total of 20 hours and I don't really have the time right now to learn how to use the thing properly so it is getting regretfully put on here. alas. Black OLP Musicman 2 with white pickguard and black thumbrest. As far as I can see there is only one ding on it and it's on the back and maybe 7-8mm in diameter. Can't get photo's uploaded but can e-mail them if needed. I don't have a case at all unfortunately so sale in person is most definitely preferred. £140 Photos : http://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/olp-musicman-2-fretless/1009689251 Cheers, Cameron
4.
You're from Carluke - is that not even more weird The sound you end up with by dialling out any odd resonances is "your sound" Havin a laugh with where you live is a good old Scottish tradition. I'm from Motherwell and live up near Biggar so i shouldn't make fun of anyone Dave
I agree. People from motherwell should be the recipiant of most jokes.
5.
A friend of mine did some backstage work at the former NEC and caught Mr Fieldy relieving himself into a one of the lighting rig flight case. This has coloured my opinion of him somehat.
He used to be really bad (they all did) due to alcohol/drug abuse. As far as I'm aware only one of them even drinks anymore and nowhere near as much as they used to.
6. Ah yes. The wierd side of YouTube, we meet again.
7.
I'll have it. PM'ed
Good choice sir.
8.
Well I'm a frequent visitor to Wolvs' Civic so this is equally as tempting...
All I can say is I love mine and if it werent for my lack of £200 I would buy this despite already owning one!
9.
What's the difference between this and the current K5 apart from, obviously, colour/finish?
Weight and they sound a bit different I believe. If it wasnt for me already owning one of these I would have bought this one by now. Even travelling to Wolverhampton in a few weeks.
10.
I think his style is great, it fits with the genre. But I'd go as far as saying that his style is so unique and out of the box that it was probably too far out of reach to really inspire players to pick up the 5 string or even begin playing bass.
It inspired me to pick up a 5 string and to play bass (Along with Claypool)
11. Aint the most technical guy but he is one my favourites 'cause I cant really think of anybody with a similar style (unless its styled on him). I met him last year, nice guy. Gave me a signed vest (modified t shirt actually) that he was going to wear on stage that night.
12. Arif Mirabdolbaghi
13. Damn, I've just noticed this but I have a gig (seeing, not playing) that day.
14. In reply to the thread title. No I don't!
15. The curiosity is killing me here!
16. I imagine Dillinger Escape plan wouldnt be the safest for driving.
17. Unatural selection by Muse. Groovy little bassline, really fun to play
18. 300!? Bloomin 'eck! I have to say this is exactly why I love this site. The fact that it's more than just a place people come on and trade small talk and that it's more of a community than a website. People always seem to do what they can to help others on here, even if it's just something small, it's always nice.
19. Cameron Jamieson - Motherwell, Scotland
20.
I was going to suggest that as there will be too many suggestions, if anyone has a problem they can go and think of their own awesome idea
Donate to basschat! Also, if it makes it to Scotland I'd love to be a part of this
21. Been about a year since I tried anything in a shop but I think I just played whatever I had learned recently/was enjoying playing the most at that time.
22. Him : "when are you free for recording?" Me : "anytime after Thursday" An hour later Him "We're booked for Tuesday"
23. I love this idea.
24.
PITA to explain. The top curve of the bass follows the bottom of my rib cage basically. EDIT: I don't own that bass anymore but same applies for the ones I do.
That height.
25. Mark (7string)'s fretless Sei bass. By far the nicest bass I've saw in person. Apart from that, Carl Thompsons are beautiful -especially the darker wood ones-
