  1. The one you sold me??? I can confirm what a "lovely thing" it was...I was far too precious with it... GLWTS
  2. I'd like to find one of these with a broken headstock which could be converted to a headless set up. Don't suppose you have any Grandchildren who could be let loose in your music room??
  3. I have one in black - surprisingly good bass for the money. Up there with any entry level basses IMO. Just wish that "cheap" basses were this good when I started playing. GLWTS
  4. Do you think I should be worried about this seller?

  5. I've got a few lying around my flat somewhere... At this price I thought I'd get some more https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fret-Wraps-Guitar-Bass-String-Muter-Muters-Dampener-Parts-Accs/163829052106?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&var=463384041071&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
  6. For anybody who ever doubted his genius
  7. When I was younger, music was a huge factor in my life - get up in the morning put some music on, worked in places where the radio was always on, when I got home from work, putting some music on was my first priority - rarely used to put the TV on. Now it seems the only time I regularly listen to music is in the car or on YouTube in reception at work. Now when I get home from work I rarely listen to music. Fact is, for me, music isn't as important as it once was - there is very little "modern" stuff that I actually like, and that I do listen to is far from "mainstream". Put on something that currently in the charts I wouldn't have a clue who it is. I love finding "old school" that I haven't heard before. So I listen to less music and limit the genres. In fact, I'd say "I've lost the love".... Anybody else???
  8. I played one back in the 80s...loved it. Stopped playing at the beginning of the 90s. When I started playing again I bought a Pro, sold it then some time later bought a Custom. I didn't get on with either - wouldn't want to have taken the hit from buying a new one. There are many other great UK based luthiers - worth checking out their wares if you don't want to wait. If your heart is set on one built to your spec, then you'll have to part with the requisite pictures of the Queen and wait....

  10. Serious contender for Best Neck I've ever played was on my ACG Harlot (currently for sale here). Loved the asymmetric shape and silky smooth finish. That Mr Crigean certainly knows what he's doing... This said, I still think the necks on the Bass Collection Nanyo 4 have the nicest and easiest necks to play on any mass produced bass.
  11. Didn't you prove Mahogany over Maple preference at one of the Herts Bass Bashes?
  12. So who lives in Nottingham and will facilitate collection/courier?
  13. Amazon used a bigger box than that for Shalla's ball... seems there's a pattern.
  14. Year 9 school project?
  15. I've been offered one in p/x - what's a fair price for a used example??
  16. A few years ago @Lozz196 and I went to see @lawriemacmillan's band - one of the band was a Harp player. I'd heard a Dub plate at Glastonbury a few years earlier - Drum, bass and Harp - absolutely wicked tune. Ever since I've craved a harp - even though I have no idea what's involved. I hope I never meet somebody who can play one - it would only cause me GAS.
  17. I bought that track...
  18. Surprised not to see more Ska tunes nominations TBH - it is Dance music after all...
  19. Another great track:
  20. Before committing to a sale spend time using only this bass for a few weeks. As others have said, tweak the action. change the strings, alter the pick up height - try your very best to gel with it. You may find with minor adjustments the bass is more YOU than you currently think. Sellers remorse is a bitter pill to swallow.
  21. Just been listening to the playlist...Bass player is rubbish... Check @4.20

  23. If you're after compact think Trace Elliot Elf and a couple of Schroeder Mini 1x8 or 1x10 cabs. One of my friends thought I was joking when I brought this to practice. Soon changed his mind when I turned it on. Total weight is about 10kg.
