  1. These are always going to be subjective - FWIW I don't agree with many being on the list and IMO there are loads of better lines missing.
  2. Elementary mistake... You built them the wrong way round!!😉😉 Just kidding...nice work
  3. I seem to be the exception to the rule - of the three custom builds I've had built for me I still have all three. Admittedly one comes out very rarely but the two that @Andyjr1515 built for me get used regularly and are firm favourites with visitors to my home. I've actually been more disappointed by factory basses. My first Ray (1996, mutes and figured maple) was a dream to play but I sold it here to fund something else. Shortly after I bought a 2006 to replace it, seriously disappointing - none of the previous assets and felt "average". Recently bought a G&L M2000, loved it but sold it as part of my downsizing - sellers remorse so bought a G&L Jazz - didn't have the same "oomph".
  4. Beautiful design, amazing build quality, super balance, comfort and ergonomics.
  5. There is a Squier Standard with a J/P set up. I have one which surprised me how good it is for a £150 bass. Recommended.
  6. I've been a member here for 10 years today!!!

Made some good friends and bought and sold some amazing gear.

  9. Our second transaction... Jeff bought my G&L JB Jazz which I'd bought and wasn't gelling with...glad it went to somebody who will appreciate it. Completely problem free transaction...trade with confidence.

  17. Guardian Live | What's on An evening with Skunk Anansie's Skin Thursday 24 September 2020, 7pm–8pm BST Born Deborah Anne Dyer, Skin rose to prominence in the 90s as the frontwoman of rock bank Skunk Anansie. As a black queer woman writing and performing in the heavily white and male Britpop era, she has continued to blaze trails throughout her career; in 1999 with her band she was the first black woman to headline Glastonbury, and her political lyrics have spoken to the disenfranchised for the past 25 years. In her upcoming memoir, It Takes Blood and Guts, co-written with journalist Lucy O’Brien, Skin chronicles her life as a Jamaican working-class girl from Brixton who broke through a difficult childhood to find fame as a world-touring performer, fashion icon and social and cultural activist. She will be in conversation with Observer journalist, Miranda Sawyer. Book tickets

  19. Acquired this recently. Haven't been able to gel with it unfortunately - probably shouldn't have bought it really. These are available at various outlets for around £474 - I can only find one small mark on it so probably as clean as anything in your local stockists. Weighs in at 4.5kg.
  20. Having withdrawal symptoms - @Andyjr1515 hasn't built anything in (what seems like) ages...come on people, somebody commission something.
