    I'm sure the OP found all that advice really helpful...loads of great basses to choose from but no definitive answer. Seems like there is lots of choice in all price ranges nowadays.

    The Yamahas are amazing VFM....you'll be hard pushed to find a bass of similar quality in the price range. That's where I'd spend my money..

    I was recycling a personalised phone case (Trace Elliot image). Tony had the phone to fit so got in contact. Agreement made, I sent it to Tony. I expected him to pay for P&P, instead he paid £8, far more than I was expecting. The song says " a good man is hard to find"...look no further than Tony's profile. An asset to this forum.
