  1. Peter bought my blue Bass Collection Nanyo 310 (on my birthday). Great correspondence made for a problem free transaction...as stated above, Peter's an asset to this community. I'll be dropping it off at a local friend of his tomorrow. Enjoy!!
  2. How many of us now have one of these on our Want Lists?? I can see the next one that comes up causing a Price War.
  3. MY BIRTHDAY TOMORROW - 28TH DECEMBER - REDUCED TO £1250 COLLECTED - ONE DAY ONLY - OFFER ENDS ON THE MORNING OF 29TH DECEMBER OR WHENEVER I GET TO MY COMPUTER.
  4. REDUCED FOR MY BIRTHDAY ONLY - OFFER ENDS ON THE MORNING OF 29TH DECEMBER OR WHENEVER I GET TO MY COMPUTER - £150.
  5. Reduced for my birthday - ends on the morning (or whenever I get to my computer) of the 29th December. £95
  6. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Beautiful-Handmade-Bass-Guitar/174135011767?hash=item288b4169b7:g:FfwAAOSwep1eAQ6l I purchased the bass about a couple of years ago from The Bass Gallery in Camden for £1000. It was custom made for a customer (not me) by Howard Satterley (The Bass Doctor) according to The Bass Gallery. The Bass Doc being a very well known and highly respected Luthier from the north of England. •Alder body, burst gloss finish •Three piece maple neck, gloss •Quilt maple facing on headstock •Schaller hardware (M type tuners, 2000 bridge) •EMG MM/J pickups •East UNI Pre preamp (18v active/passive)
  7. I've got an AH300 in with my Amp Tech with a burnt out power board...it'll probably cost me more than this to have it repaired. Tells you what a bargain this is - 50p per (TE) watt - ridiculously underpriced.
  8. One currently available on eBay for £45 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Blake-Guitar-Solutions-Bravo-Electric-Bass-Guitar-Case-Cover-Gig-Bag-New/333444812166?hash=item4da2dc0d86:g:3c8AAOSw8zNcGi2G
  9. Good point but why is it that only the rubbish resurfaces???
  10. When I started playing again I bought a G&K 110 Backline - still have it. It's ideal for home practice and for rehearsal. I even bought the 12" version (100w instead of 70w) but TBH it didn't do anything the 110 couldn't. Available on eBay for around £100-150. At home I use an Ashdown EVO 180 - great tone and you can pick them up used on eBay for around £100. I know the OP is asking about lightweight combos but anybody looking to go down the lightweight route really needs to consider the TE Elf with their lightweight cab of their choice - and there's plenty to choose from. Haven't seen too many TE Elfs for sale on the used market but at £250 new they're within most people's budget. In fact, there are so many options nowadays you're going to be hard pushed not to find something you want.
  11. When I looked at this I thought somebody had stolen loads of posts. Now I know why..
  12. Pretty sure you can replace the word "basses" with "golf clubs"....everybody has a set somewhere...
  13. Have similar problems with Shalla...she's my biggest critic, I'm sure she trying to tell me to give it up...
  14. Thought there would be some interest in this..
  15. Friend of mine just bought the JP version of this...very impressed, especially with the neck. Ideal Xmas pressie to yourselves for somebody.
  16. A friend of mine has a similar model - his has a figured neck IIRC. Just checked the date of manufacture - his is 1990ish
  17. Nice...I was too precious with mine...great bass though. GLWTS
  18. Beautiful bass - Jens really knows what he's doing. Took a while to sell my Cora, hope you see the light and withdraw this from sale.
  19. I bought one of the Alembic SC copies - without doubt the worst thing resembling a bass guitar on the planet. The tuners were made of something slightly better than silver painted plastic but only slightly. The veneer on the body was about the thickness of the lacquer, the body made from something other than wood. Pickups had no range at all. I couldn't send it back quickly enough - seller managed to resell it for £100 more than I paid. I feel sorry for whoever paid with their hard earned.... Remember that "all that glistens...."
