    As @la bam says "Brightboxes"...I have one...ideal "as well as", not "instead of"... Though some may disagree, they add some colour to your tone when using a bigger cab. If you're looking for something to pair with your Elf see if you can find a 1x10 extension cab which came with the BLX range - easier said than done but they do come up on eBay occasionally. IIRC I paid around £75 for mine.

    If you are set on spending £1k+ you really need to consider an ACG - superbly built from high end components and Alan is a member here. You'll have to go a long way to find a dissatisfied customer - many owners have more than one.

    No scales but I would say "not heavy" - around the 8/9lb region I reckon. I'll see if any of my neighbours have bathroom scales...

    I have a G&L M2000 Tribute - very good bass - and not just for the money. If I'd bought this when I first started playing again I might only have one bass...anybody who knows me will probably be laughing in disbelief...it is a very good bass though.
