  6. I thought that this would have inspired everybody to call him "Wodger" in subsequent posts... I think you should all edits your posts...
  7. Buy an Enfield and you can virtually cover all three...

  10. I've managed to sell two in recent months. The amazing thing is that I haven't bought others to replace them... (not for the want of trying though).
  11. As my friends says "Strats are like Clitorises - every kuntt's got one..."
  12. Many of us had the problem with "the well known "sticky handle" syndrome" . I think that I was one of the first to report the issue to them and on this forum. Thankfully mine was resolved happily with a new stand (which I put in the raffle at the first Herts Bash) and I know many others whose own issues with this were resolved amicably. I'm glad to hear that the OP's issue was too. In general I think that Hercules have been very approachable on this and the CS, from my point at least, has been excellent. I think that maybe you had a conversation with somebody who was having a sh1tty day.
  13. ...but very beautiful to look at..😍🥰😵
  14. It's been around for a while - IIRC he had it for sale for around £600 last year.
  15. Dave already has a white one...he used it when JH's Orchestra played St Albans. Doesn't mean that Dave didn't want this one too but I think married life and kids do have an influence even if you are 6' 4
  16. Sorry, but I think it's a bit more than that... GLWTS
  17. I couldn't tell any significant difference between my Euro LX and my Korean NS2000 - guess which one I sold and which one I kept.
  18. I've told you a million times not to exaggerate
  19. There isn't a lot of headstock on a Tele and it wouldn't take much to ruin one by taking off too much. Working with a coloured paper template might give you a better idea what you will get, white just blends in with the natural finish. Paint 3D will let you play around with bendy lines without you actually committing to anything which might cost you money.
  20. There are so many factors to a tone that they're not happy with for beginners. Sound advice in getting the bass set up by a professional and yes, many will agree in the wisdom of taking the Bass into a reputable establishment like The Gallery. 👍 However what amp are you using? If you've read anything here you'll know that even established players are struggling for a tonal package that they're happy with. Equipment is a factor for many. You're probably aspiring to a particular tone which even experienced players haven't mastered. 😕 Be realistic - it's going to take some tome for you to get the feel and response, not only from your instrument but also from your contribution. Strings can be an issue - both new strings (too zingy) and old (too dull or thumpy). Read the numerous "your favourite strings" threads - there is no consensus. Also you have new, fresh finger tips which will toughen up and harden over time. Your technique is (no disrespect meant) probably poor currently, again over time this will improve. 🙄 For now, get a sound basis for learning to play - a well set up bass, a good quality amp/combo and a realistic view in how much of the sound you are unhappy with is down to you. I would consider recording what you sound like and listen back to this over time. Give it six months and you'll hear the improvement. You may even find that your initial concerns may not have been such an issue as you think currently. A quote/ mantra that has served me well...
  21. Surely Slap is the ultimate weapon to fack with annoying guitarists who insist on coming to practice with a 6 chord riff (which is really a bass riff) and ask you to play along leaving little room for you to improvise. "Here's a riff I worked on at home...just work out something out that goes with it"
  22. Pablo??? Pablo?? You are the Pablo Picasso???
  23. I've had all of mine serviced by my local Amp Tech, Mal Crawley. Normally costs around £80 but they come back clean and sound like a new amp. Money well spent in my eyes..
