  1. No idea if it's any good as a PA but it seems to have a Classical connection https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Gear4-Music-Model-MPA-1000/264705931696?hash=item3da1b3f9b0:g:76cAAOSwGIZemIrr
  2. Got this but it's more a comic thing than a guitar thing really..
  3. I have a HB Tele with a similar finish - I think they're a couple of hundred quid new..
  4. Stevie Wonder would say that's a nice looking bass...
  5. Learnt yesterday that the pronunciation is Sa-pea-lay... Goes without saying but I will anyway...good work Andrew...
  6. From my experience the most popular geeetars amongst geetards are Strats and LP style geeetars. Just been looking through the Marketplace and there seems to be a few Telecasters and/or parts thereof available suggesting Teles have a following. I have a Tele with Bigsby which I don't use but love the look of.... So what is the favoured skinny stringed weapon of choice amongst Bassists?
  7. I think that you may well be... Big case of Sellers remorse coming
  8. Correct me if I'm wrong (happened once before), but isn't the pronunciation of the man's name "Wazz" rather than "Woz", hence the name of the band???
  9. From an aesthetic POV I think that the fewer materials in any build benefit the item. From this standpoint I'd go with the Wenge... Like @FDC484950 "I’m not getting into a debate about whether woods affect tone!" - even though it might upset @BigRedX.
  10. ...unless Che Guevara was in The Doors and nobody told me. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Electric-Acoustic-Bass-GUITAR-STRAP-People-Are-Strange-The-Doors-lyrics/201005804161?hash=item2ecce12a81:g:G9cAAMXQlgtSsIWr
  11. I saw the HB on eBay and was tempted - I must have about 10 sets of unused strings in my parts drawer though..(thanks D'Addario and the Beta group)
  12. Personally I'd have the same timber from the headstock as the pick up surrounds
  13. I'd like a SC but would need to sell most of my gear to afford one. I could last Friday's EuroLottery win (£3.30) towards it.
  14. I have a Spectorcore fretless 4 in Blue - haven't seen another. Anybody??
  15. No longer a member of this club...sold my BBN4 11 recently...how can they build such good basses for the money??? Are "Fender" stickers expensive to produce? If not, how do they charge so much more for basses of, IMO, lesser quality?
  16. Have you spoken to @Andyjr1515 about building one to your spec? Seems there's nothing on this bass that he hasn't put on a build. Fairly sure he can be competitive and as a returning customer I can tell you the build quality (check the various build threads) is up there with your high dollar builds. You can only ask...
  17. I had a headed 4 string - nowhere near as nice as this... I'm jealous.
  18. Perfect opportunity for me to ask... I bought one of the Fender hi-mass bridges to install on my Squier Standard JP but I'm not sure whether I'm going to keep the bass (several other basses with similar configuration) so haven't installed it (yet). I was wondering how much work is involved...do the screw holes line up with those from the BBOT without any mods??
  19. Alice strings sell for around a fiver - used them on one bass for what seemed like forever - sold the bass before they went off... They've gone up..£6.87 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Light-4-String-Electric-Bass-Strings-Bass-Guitar-Strings-Nickel-Alloy-Wound/222569602427?hash=item33d22e9d7b:g:wmkAAOSwyltZW0gT
