  1. Past hour
  2. If you still have it get the connectors cleaned. That might just restore it to working order.
  3. I also have had a couple of Krivo pickups in my time. Really good sound quality, pretty authentic DB rather than fretless bass. I thought they were really good but sold due to switch to hybrid and gut strings. Going back some years, but I found them the best way to avoid feedback with steel containing strings
  4. I use an HX stomp but if it broke, genuinely I'd go back to my zoom ms60b. I used the zoom a few months ago as my guitarist borrowed the stomp, i was perfectly happy with the sound. I've always loved the zoom stuff, maybe not so much for the dirty sounds, but for a basic clean preamp, through a pa, noones going to think your sound is poor. Saying that, whats the fun in that! Get an hx stomp!
  5. If the cable was dodgy, the website editor wouldn't work either.
  6. It's generally only guitarists that find that and I have a suspicion its because they now can hear clearly what they're actually playing so they now need to actually play properly rather than rely on the wall raw volume to mask their playing!
  7. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 1 post to view.
  8. I've got a carvin bass combo. loved it and was the ideal size and weight for the occasional stage monitoring i required. Unfortunately it died.

  10. Hi, Sorry that you’re having problems with playing your five string fretless bass. I can sympathise with you as I'm having similar problems with my Overwater six string bass. I also have an Overwater four string fretless bass. It was hand made by Chris May at the time he was making a fantastic reputation as a world class luthier and bass specialist. It’s a very early (1980’s) passive bass with hand made pick ups, 34” scale, Ebony fingerboard with a Mahogany through neck and body and a flamed Walnut top in a translucent red finish. It’s in great condition and plays really easily but I miss that bottom B and I seem to be coping with my Stingray five string ok, so I’m assuming that I would be ok with something like the AGC. If this is of interest to you, I’m in Yorkshire and would be happy to arrange a meeting so that we can compare basses with a view to possibly making an exchange of instruments? I’m not looking for cash as part of the exchange, neither am I looking to pay extra. Let me know if you’re interested.
  11. So that may actually be a benefit for pick players where I tend to add bass to fill out the tone more so than finger style
  12. Or.... put a side jack on it, then you don't even need to fill the hole! Though looking at your angles I think you will have trouble making the holes line up.
  13. That’s binned then 🤷‍♂️
  14. Is still available!😉
  15. In case it’s not already been mentioned, there’s a Cioks DC7 for £145 on Bass Direct: https://www.bassdirect.co.uk/product/cioks-dc7-pre-owned/
  16. Today
  17. The 12" BF cabs have very extended low end compared to pretty well everything on the market. You need to dial it back quite a bit in my experience.
  18. Just had a rush of blood to the head and ordered a Joe Dart SBMM. I play punk, not funk. What am I doing? The most sudden urge of GAS in my life.
  19. All very true thanks buddy! Quite surprised this is still here as when I was looking for one they were sold used for not much less and very quickly? Not least as this "New" I only had a quick noodle on it to hear the effects both mains and battery so can confirm it does everything Roland promise! Gaucho
