  1. Past hour
  2. 2016 Ernie Ball Musicman ‘old smoothie’ in smoothie burst. This plays like a dream and sounds amazing. currently strung with flats. comes with the Musicman hard case. I love this bass but since needing more of a precision sound it really hasn’t been played. I'm willing to drive 50 miles from Birmingham to deliver, further for a petrol cost. I can’t post this at this moment in time. weighs 9Ib on my non digital scales. there’s one just sold at Bass Bros for over £1900 so I think this is a fair price for a bass that doesn’t come up that often.
  3. I was thinking this too. The deal didn't go through unfortunately, but I was considering meeting halfway, which was cheaper than using a courier.
  4. Thanks, Leftfret; there were a few bites when I first listed it, but the market has gone very quiet since; I wouldn't be surprised if it's still about then. The amp has played a few gigs up Lowestoft way pver the years. I have a lot of respect for James Demeter (though I've never dealt with him directly), your dealings sound like others I've heard of, he seems like a toned-down Ken Smith sort; I think the live sound industry owes him a lot; the amount of high-end backline he was/is responsible for...
  5. I don't expect these to sell, and to be honest I won't be disappointed if they don't. Offered here are two CSM 12s, made by the fine folk at QSC. These are, without hyperbole, the finest speakers I have ever used. If I had roadies, I would use these on every gig, the clarity, range, volume and fidelity are all *chef's kiss*. They're currently permanently installed in my practice room, as they are heavier than the sun and I can no longer face shifting them to and from gigs. The reality is, they're overkill for me now, and their current use is a ridiculous indulgence; if they sell, the funds will be used to replace them with something lighter. I'm also offering the QSC GXD4 that I use to power them; it's not the perfect power amp for the job, but it's been more than powerful enough for my needs. It comes housed in a flight case. The details for the wedges can be found on the QSC website, here. The details for the power amp can be found on the QSC website, here. I'm happy to sell the monitors individually at £600 each, but I'll be keeping the power amp if it doesn't sell with the monitors, as I have plenty of use for it. These are, for obvious reasons, collection only (Ipswich).
  6. Offered in excellent, 8.5/10 condition are two examples of my favourite 112 cabs. I'll doubtless regret this, but the reality is they aren't getting used, as I'm opting for an 4x10 on the types of gigs I used to use these on. These come complete with official Bergantino covers, in tatty but serviceable condition. The details and specs for these cabinets can be found on the Bergantino website, here. I'll entertain shipping these, but it'll require my finding big enough boxes; I imagine the quote'll be somewhat expensive. Collection, from Ipswich, is preferred, but I may be persuaded to deliver if you aren't too far away. £350 each or £675 for the pair.
  7. These are absolutely glorious; Jule Potter is a wizard. Whoever gets this won't be disappointed. GLWTS!
  8. And 3 days later a Chinese site with a pic of a real Ric...
  9. Well, my JMJ Mustang seems to be hanging about so it is with an even heavier heart that I’m putting my trusted MW Mustang up for sale. Those in the know, know this is a fairly rare beast; this one is in great condition despite having done many gigs with me, no dings or chips that I can see. Tiny lacquer crack in the neck pocket that was there when I got it 8 years ago….I think they all have this as the poly is quite thick. Comes with fender gig bag and has recently been strung with hybrid slinkies. Collection from Rotherham or the usual dodgy service station meet up.
  10. Had the m700 and it’s was delightful. Now use a Simone and really don’t need this but man it’s so cool. The sensitivity control hides the magic!
  11. I have one in black. Nice bass... Hard to believe that the price used is £200 You're too far to make any offer. GLWTS.
  12. Wont Get Fooled Again - the Van Halen version.
  13. This Gibson Guy will not give a flying v what anyone has to say about Gibson bridges of any design, and how!
  14. That ebay 2024 is the bass that was owned by James Lomenzo prior to his custom built silverburst BB with the P, reverse P and mudbucker pickups. Very much his "gateway drug" in Yamaha BBs. I may have made that up, I can't say 🤫... but who knows.
  15. We have a band in our area dedicated to playing just prog covers, the band is made up from the cream of the crop musicians in the area, they only do a few gigs a year and they are always rammed with punters and a lot of local musicians seeing how it’s done, the musicians in the band play in mostly high end corporate party bands on a regular basis.
  16. I’m still not sure how this site works, or if you can see my Thunderbirds and EB’s etc., but here’s some more.
  17. Not traditional covers band in what way?!
  18. Funny you should say this…. have been in a very generic ‘jukebox’ covers band, good musicians, very competent, ok gigs. Accidentally (long story) have formed a Hendrix tribute (not an easy thing to do until you meet the right guitarist!) and the gigs have come pouring in.
  19. Known PJB for years - but - first time I’ve bought something. He sent it me to try - I won’t have opportunity and begrudgingly allowed me to pay him because I didn’t want him hanging on until my next rehearsal. A lovely Ashdown pre pedal for acoustic
