  2. Hi All Bit of a delay in posting. The front and back are now glued on and i've cut the binding channels. I forgot to take photos but I use a router and take many passes.... Next, a very simple end graft made out of two bits of binding stuck together. It's not glued yet, first is binding. There was then a slight delay as while I was cutting up some veneers for the binding I managed to slice my finger open. Turns out surgical scalpels are actually quite good at cutting humans..who'd have thought! A quick trip to A&E and a few sutures later, I'm fine. As usual, mistakes like that happen because I was hurrying. Sharp things and haste do not go together well. Being a numpty doesn't help of course. Anyway, the bindng channels I cut with a router, the side binding though is done by hand. First a gremel, then a chisel to clear out the channel. The binding gets bent on the iron the same as the sides. The binding layout I'm doing has got black/white inner lines that will be mitred to the lines of the back stripe. The most difficult part is here where they meet at the bottom: In the picture above it isn't glued. I'm trying to get those white and black inner lines to line up nicely so it looks like one continuous line. The black one is fine, but you can see that the white one still needs a bit more work. I glue everything together (bindng plus white and black veneers) all at the same time which is not the normal way of doing it. And next time I may well try doing the purfling lines first. The back is bound, so we'll see tomorrow how successful the mitres were.
  3. Just seen this: https://www.soundonsound.com/news/apple-logic-pro-11-incoming Logic pro 11 will be available on Monday — 13 May and will include a few new goodies including Bass & Keyboard equivalents to the drummer track, Stem splitter, and a new saturation plugin. The cost will be £199, but the best part is that it will be a free upgrade for existing users. It looks like the new keyboard player plugin is going to be limited to piano, but I hope it gets extended to include hammond organ styles also as I would probably enjoy playing with that. I already own RipX for splitting songs into stems for remixing old recordings or rehearsal / gig recordings from the zoom H2n, so it will be interesting to see how the Logic splitter compares.
  4. Great amps these, had one for a while and it didn't disappoint. Given they're near 3k new, anything under a grand is a good price!
  5. This is true, I run iReal pro on my tablet, phone, and on my laptop using Bluestacks as an Android emulator. Works just as it should.
  6. Just switch to the Boss WL20, that’s what I did and it’s just as good. One end in your bass and the other in the input of your pedal board. The only difference I noted was having to charge both the dongles from a USB plug before a gig rather than just one.
  7. I am so, so tempted. And the Boss Amps too... I guess with the ME90B the only thing it can't replace is my Boss wireless. I don't know what I'd do with that if I went to a multi FX.
  8. Really good these, I have some and am really impressed! GLWTS.
  9. Manchester based pedal company This sounds great £200 for boutique pedal is not that bad a price.
  10. I play sat down too, but stick to using my right foot (I'm right-handed) as I can only reliably control three limbs at once.
  11. Had this a year or two, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Tremendous depth and flexibility for ambient stuff. Home use only, in 'showroom' condition. Comes with the Mooer Air Switch, allowing more control. £160 plus recorded delivery gets it to you in bombproof packaging.
  12. Today
  13. It should switch the effect on and off - it does on all my MS pedals. Have you got two choruses in the patch?
  14. I can honestly say i have no recollection of the venue or how the gig even went. I know all the gigs we did were great nights but individually just can't remember. Was a popular rock venue in 80's. Dave
  15. That would have been the Market Tavern I am guessing, that was a great sorely missed venue.
  16. Trying Chord Pulse now - its really simple which I like a lot. Pick a root, pick the type of chord, add more chords until you're happy then press play.
  17. I once played in Hereford in mid 80's. Have no idea where but i'm sure it was near a cattle market if i remember right. Could it have been The Market Bar ? Memory not so good from that era in my life. That was a wee tour i was doing with my broken leg. Crutches and all. Happy Days Dave
  18. Gordon Bennetts is pretty much the only dedicated music venue in Hereford!
  19. Bought a few sets of strings off David, good comms and fast delivery, always a pleasure to deal with, top bloke
  20. I wouldn’t worry mate, the Sires are cracking instruments too!
  21. Sky Arts is indeed great, but as I mentioned previously, it's disappeared from my Freeview a couple of weeks ago. Please can anyone tell me if it's just me or if it's not included on Freeview anymore. Thanks.
  22. All pm's replied to, thanks for the trade offers folks, ranging from fabulous to erm, left field! ONLY trade I would be interested in really would be a 2013-2016 USA Precision, definitely maple, preferably white, plus cash added by me. Many thanks, Karl.
  23. Thanks for all the replies, I've downloaded and installed the trial version of Guitar Pro, and will try the others. I'm a bit reluctant to try an android emulator....I'm the man who breaks checkout machines.
  24. I recently sold a Boss GT 6B to Greg - nice easy tansaction, fast payer. Deal with confidence. Thanks Greg.
