  1. Past hour
  2. The tone controls on CTM amps are confusing and if like the CTM100 a nightmare at times It’s the reason I sold mine in the end as it had a lack of EQ adjustment

  4. In excellent condition, upgraded the 3 point bridge to a fully adjustable and far superior high quality hipshot bridge. No offers please, comes with a gig bag. Can post for an additional £20. The Les Paul Junior Tribute DC Bass is a tribute to the historic Gibson EB-0 bass from the late 50's, but with modern features. Not just for smaller players, the short scale length is actually chosen by many for its strong fundamental tone and sits perfectly in a track when recording. The mahogany double cutaway body and maple neck with rosewood fingerboard balances perfectly when playing either sitting or strapped on. It's equipped with a single expanded range LP BassBucker pickup with single volume and tone controls for simplicity. The volume pot has a push-pull feature to coil tap the pickup scooping the mids for further tone shaping possibilities.
  5. Well I would love a '62 P and Jazz, but even settling for an AVII P and a Flea Jazz was a stretch for my finances!
  6. Up for grabs is a very lovely Mesa Subway Di, it is in its original box and is in pretty much as new condition. Bought on this forum recently but not quite to my taste unfortunately. Tracked insured postage to a UK address included
  7. My Mate had a Stingray IIRC. Recall it not being brilliant. Yes... I remembered it being green like a Trace Elliot. Although it seems to have been a cobra like this.
  8. Exactly. I think a lot of people get obsessed about the idea of ambient, but in reality, most people don't miss it.
  9. It's big because of all those "user-friendly" controls. You can't fit that many controls into something the size of a Stomp without them being too small to easily manipulate. If you want to have a reduced set of knobs you'll most likely need a computer or menu diving in order to be able to set up the assignments, and you can guarantee that if that's the case there still won't be enough "hands-on" controls to satisfy everyone. For me the biggest weakness of this unit and most other budget multi-effects is the external PSU and the lack of locking connector for it. The wrap-round post is a terrible idea because this automatically introduces a point of weakness in the PSU cable. Both guitarists in my band have multi-effects with separate PSUs, and both have gone through several in the 6 years I've been in the band due to the low-voltage side cable failing. If you have to mounts this device on a pedal board with the PSU it defeats the object IMO because devices like this are designed to BE the pedal board. Also I'm not keen to just having numbers to identify the patches, it's no longer the early 80s. Again, the guitarists in my band have enough difficulty finding the correct patch for each song when the names are displayed; having to rely on just a number would be a disaster. And if you're organised enough to be able to remember the patch number for each sound, then IMO you are organised enough for something less immediate. One of the great things for me about the Helix Floor is the big display with the big Preset name and LED "scribble strips" above each foot switch that identify exactly what they do for each Preset.
  10. Looking forward to this. A deep dive is definitely required for this amp!
  11. A general update a week in: still loving it! I've now got my main front panel sorted with a great core tone, plus compression, drive, and chorus as my default fx. From the phone app I can switch to a limiter instead of compression, two other drives, and two other effects (for now, octaver and touch wah). Once you get your head 'round it everything falls into place. No, I didn't buy the cab as I like my current FMC cabs so much!
  12. I was offered a fretless 4 and 12 string in white for 50 quid when i worked in a shop in 1990 A lady was selling her ex husbands collection. It wasnt hers to sell and i didnt buy it
  13. It sounds like you have exactly the same mindset as me! I think you've got me convinced! One last question though, what's the build quality like, compared to the old ME 50B?

  15. hi, I've had a pod go, used a full-fat helix, had a Boss GT Core, and looked closely at others like headrush. Had GT1b too. My main goal was to have something not too large and very immediate to work with. I don't use presets at all and wanted to get away from screens and overthinking / overplanning sounds. I much prefer to use this as a series of really good and flexible stompboxes. I find I feel more relaxed and the musical / creative parts of my brain can 'play' and my planning / thinking brain can stay at work! I'm also not worried about jumping from sound to sound. The closest thing I am aware of to this is Pedalboard mode on the GT1000. Might want to look it up. That might be the best of both worlds, but I don't want the option of both worlds!
  16. For Sale my Blackstar U700 Elite head with carry bag and all the original leads. I’ve only used this once so it’s basically brand new. This is a very powerful 700w head and has lots of great features plus is compact so can be carried on your shoulder. BlackStar have really gone to town with this head so don’t be put off, it’s a beast!!! I think for the price you can’t beat the quality. When you turn the knobs you can feel the effort that has been put into this head plus also has the channel switcher!! would prefer pickup but can ship in UK only and postage to be discussed. feel free to ask any questions
  17. I'm going to see them in concert tonight 😍 In my new band we cover this AWB track
  18. This list of feedback is a long one but wanted to add my 'two penneth' worth 😁 Bought a P bass loom from John, it arrived quickly and I installed the same day - All very clean work and super easy to swap out the stock one with no faffing (the solderless connector makes everything a breeze). Bass sounds lovely and clear, the top end is much more apparent now, in fact everything just seems clearer to my ears. The pot shafts are very smooth and I upgraded to a Pure Tone jack for peace of mind when jumping around - was definitely worth the upgrade it's rock solid!
  19. I'll be watching the final,as I'm still housebound with my back. A few beers, some snacks and not taking it seriously is the order of the day
  20. Sorry, only on YouTube (as far as I know), an Interview and chat with Lee Ritenour. He is talking about his (busy) studio sessions days with a few funny stories thrown in. There are a couple of (baked in) short adverts in there (strings and pedals), but nothing too intrusive.
