Turn up late to rehearsal, lock the door and burn the place down? Well, it worked for the Saxons anyway.

Cash Converters has a Mayones Cali Mini Fretless at a bargain

And then you'll call me saying "I've bought another fearless one, do you want it, it's definitely not for me?" -
@Chienmortbb @Pow_22 Thanks for the information. With all the talk of valve tone and the thump of class A/B power amps and the heft - there, I said it 😱 - that you get from old school amp designs like this, coupled with what I think is pretty much a give away price, I'm surprised this is still hanging around. Someone somewhere mentioned that this series of amps wasn't particularly desirable but given that they doesn't suffer from the wooly sound some folks complain of with Ashdown amps I think they're an underrated gem. But as I gig almost exclusively on IEMs these days and have a light weight amp and cab for the occasional dep gig with backline, this is sadly in the way and needs to go to a new loving home.

Jim bought my MXR compressor, all done and dusted within a few hours of first contact, couldn't ask for more really! Great bloke to deal with.

My perfect gig… Somewhere within an hour from home, with good parking and an easy load in. Catering of which the band can partake is always good. A responsive crowd, decent pay and no one requesting Oasis.

I can't entertain the idea of buying a bass with blocks but without binding. It aught to be illegal. -

Correct, there's a lot more to a quiet cooling system than just the fan, and a lot of ways to inadvertently turn a modified amp into a perpetual paperweight...

Unless the belief that they sound and feel different is irrational. -
Are you using the supplied power supply? Try running it on USB C

And for the people who join up and make one post, a very positive review for some shop, or a for sale ad, and never reappear.

To put that into context for the same output level you need at least twice the cone displacement with bass as you do with guitar. To realize twice the displacement requires double the voltage swing, which is four times the power. You may need as much as four times the displacement, which is four times the voltage swing, which is sixteen times the power.

I have one, but I'm currently using it as a practice amp with a digital piano. It's never been gigged 😀 . I'm considering buying a 15 to match with it for a rather unique stereo gigging rig. Left hand through the 15, right hand through the 4x8.

I have an 89 Stingray that I acquired from the original owner, a good friend of mine, in the early 90s. For years it was my only bass, went to uni with me, player in numerous bands etc etc. it was a dream bass for me at the time. It's a bit battered now and doesn't get played as much as it should, but it'll be the last bass I part with if I'm ever in the position of having to offload my selection (being in the fortunate position to now have several basses). It still plays and sounds great, and looks cool too. In fact I'm a bit inspired to take it out to my next gig after writing all that. So, obviously in your position I would hang on to it if at all possible.

The global eq and ease of access/routing the outputs was a really nice feature I thought. But there’s shouldn’t be hum!
