  2. Would be happy to consider trade for high quality bass or high quality amplification, some electric gigs coming up 👍
  3. Highly recommend Mark and team at Bass Direct. Had an issue with Backbeat G2 not charging properly, and Mark arranged a new unit to be sent along with a paid returns label for the faulty unit - no questions asked. Top customer service. Well impressed!
  4. Actually, most manufacturers use 1W/1M for their sensitivity metrics, not 2.83V. This gives more easily comparable sensitivity figures, especially when a manufacturer offers the same cabinet in 4 and 8 ohm versions. With the Ampeg maximum SPL figure, ~3dB of the gain comes from low frequency mutual coupling and ~3dB comes from double the power handling.
  5. Wow thanks for that. That is double what I sold it for, I like it but not that much 🤣 It always has been a strange market. Buying from main land Europe is just not a option anymore it seems. Such a shame.
  6. Having listened through good headphones to these (and previously other) examples of ‘upright sounds from an electric bass’, I’m going to say that the best of them do manage to replicate an OK double bass sound… but none of them manages a really good double bass sound, the sort I’d be trying to make if I were a double bass player. I like how that Ibanez SRH sounds on its own terms though, without the double bass IR.
  7. @Lozz196 I wasn't quite sure what to expect as I haven't played another bass with CS60s. I'd agree that they have transformed the bass into something much more than it was before!
  8. I will trade this for decent envelope filter with a downsweep.
  9. This isn't a cash grab, it's a benefit concert. Not sure how anyone can take this as a negative.
  10. Thanks! Its good to appreciate the old ones, even if they need some sprucing up from time to time. NPUD has a certain ring to it.
  11. Love it! Just the thing for pumping out Mustang Sally at the Dog & Duck
  12. Ace! Yeah keep me posted 🙌 I love a bit of filth, I don’t mind a little noise but it can rack up quick, especially when you start stacking drives.
  13. Any of you using the B1-4 as a headphone amp? I've been using mine with a decent pair of over ears and finding the headphone preamp pretty boxy/harsh. Global EQ to the rescue: bass boost +25/50 mid cut -15/50 treble roll off -10/50 and voila, much nicer! YMMV!
  14. Cobra make some fairly decent cheap bags https://www.terralec.co.uk/136-cobra/flight_cases__bags/12502_0b.html https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/terralec
  15. Today
  16. …. getting a Pigtronix Gatekeeper Micro from Andy asap. It’s one sort of pedal that I don’t own yet. Not really into drives that much, maybe it’s because of the inherent noise lol. I’ll report back with my findings 👍🏻
  17. G4M got back to me, they reckon: "Unfortunately the power going through active pickups would most likely cause interference with the transmitter." So make of that what you will.
  18. Or you could get a Boss LS-2, that would allow you to have two basses plugged in at the same time, and it would allow you to individually adjust the volume of both and to swap between them simply by pressing the footswitch. And if you got another setup where you only use one bass, the LS-2 can also be used as effects loop and signal blender, for instance for blending a distortion pedal with parallel clean signal. Or if you feel adventurous mix for example a flanger pedal in parallel with a phaser, that combination sounds pretty amazing. A bit of a swish army knife utility pedal. Can both work as a line/signal path selector with volume controls for each individual line/signal path, or as an effects looper with parallel blend functionality.
  19. Strange logo seems to be on both sides of the bass... it has to represent the great big Luminairos. (The coat, where was it?)
