  2. Loaded PJ body, supposedly has vintage schallers in the P position and a tonerider in the jazz position. Controls are Volume, Blend and tone. WIRING WILL NEED TO BE REDONE as there is a lot of buzzing and the P pickup doesn't seem to work, after looking it seems the solder has come off the tone pot (i do not know how to solder or how basses are wired up) Some form of unmarked Hi-Mass bridge that feels lovely and look pristine. The body has many bumps and bruises which I have pictured (mojo 😎) and is an 80's aria body. It was put together by Chandler guitars in London and I acquired it in a trade last year so apologise about my lack of information. Trades for anything are considered, let me know. Local pickup in or around Berkshire preferred but I can look into shipping it if needed.
  3. Unless everything is going through the PA there will always be some compromises. But even a modest outlay these days will help get you through a gig (and protect your hearing too).
  4. Played it at a couple of gigs so far, went down pretty well.
  5. Years ago I had a 64 P Bass - one year older, and recently the closest I could manage without mortgaging anything was a 66 Jazz that has had the paint played off of it...the neck came from a different bass as did the pickguard. But it's great. I cannot imagine ever ending up with a 1965 Fender, even scraping up the parts one by one is price-prohibitive these days. And a BYB shouldn't loom so large in my tiny brain - scientists have confirmed it will not make me play any better 😆
  6. Here is my mint G75 digital wireless system for sale. Bought for an used on a short theatre tour, it has remained in its box ever since. These appear to be discontinued now and I remember doing my homework on these at the time and they were/are regarded as superb sounding and reliable wireless units. Everything mint and packaged as shown. Prefer collection from Milton Keynes or reasonable meet up. Any Questions Just ask. Cheers
  7. I stumbled across this rather neat approach to setting up a Morningstar MC6 to drive an HX Stomp ... just waiting for a pair of 5-pin MIDI cables to arrive to see if I've programmed it all correctly! Sam x https://eitanmuir.com/2022/01/03/hx-stomp-mc6-elegance/
  8. I mainly play precision with flats and I feel it naturally darkens my tone too much for my liking. Is probably awesome on a jazz but I simply have no need for that sound atm.
  9. If you plug a DC cable, the 2.1mm co-axial cable, or even just an unwired plug into the external DC socket it will disconnect the battery.
  10. Ltd Edition Aguilar SL212 Bass Cab in Dorian Gray. 500W at 4 Ohms. No.10 of 100 produced. Pristine condition. SL stands for "Super Light" and its an easy lift..Barely used as I went to IEMs soon after purchasing. Complete with certificate and genuine Aguilar cover. £900. Collection Washington, Tyne & Wear.
  11. Personally I want a bass rig behind me at a gig. It's what I've always done, it's all part of the look and live sound experience especially for classic rock type bands which is all I'm interested in as a player. I'm not getting younger but am lucky to be reasonably fit. If I should get to a point where I can't physically manage to cart an amp of some sort around, it would be the end of looking to join bands/ live playing for me.
  12. After playing with a few setups (Mostly multi-fx but also some single pedals) I've ended up with an HX Stomp/Morningstar MC6/Sonicake Volwah configuration. I had a Stomp a couple of years ago but then sold it on as I wasn't 'getting on' with it, but with two years of learning/discovering what I wanted/needed I recently acquired another (Here on BC of course). Just waiting for a couple of 5-pin MIDI interconnects to get it all setup (And then measured to figure out what to mount it all on) Sam x
  13. Jazzmasters got the larger headstock in 67, along with a new logo and different tuners with F stamps on the back gear cover.
  14. That colour combo kind of reminds me of Sandberg's 'Aged Roquefort' (Very nice btw)
  15. At least you had an audience. The singist is still an embarrassment.
  16. I've got a HB neck on a bitsa I made and it feels brilliant. Would recommend one if you needing a neck! Easy enough to sand off the logo if you don't like it.
  17. Mine ended up going back a number of times as the issue kept coming back. Dave eventually swapped it for an RM800! Weirdly, I don't find the detents an issue on the 800.
  18. Mytek Stereo DA 96 It comes with a printed manual, original power lead, and original box. I can post
  19. Fender Jazz Bass Deluxe 1998 - Made in Mexico There are a few small dings, but overall, it is in lovely condition Fitted with: DiMarzio DP149 [£150] Gotoh Bridge 203B [£25] Gotoh Brass Saddles S203 [£15] Strung with black Fender nylon tape wound 58 strings (58 - 110) I can ship

  21. Played God's waiting room in Wiltshire last night. You expect the hearse to turn up at any moment. I won't name the venue out of respect for the recently deceased. Despite the zombie audience and the adhesive which kept them in their seats, the band played well and enjoyed itself. Tiny stage, nice sound, tight performance. Got paid and got the hell back to civilisation.
  22. May has been a quiet month - well done to all. Main news I guess is my own downfall, all over the heads of a £40 pedal, oops. 3 more brave soldiers fell in May leaving 25 still standing. Let's see how June treats us.
  23. No, I've seen loads with his name on... does he keep loosing them? My Son is like that with his coat. 😉
