  1. Past hour
  2. Please could someone tell me where I can get a manual for the Silverado Special. I just bought one last weekend!
  3. Let's hope your plan works out for next winter, have you been to Banff before?
  4. So assume this is a no, I'm not going to help 😅 https://www.facebook.com/share/p/17qsDtrm3N/
  5. Virtually new Fender Bassman 100 cover from Roqsolid, i got it to use while my flightcase was being manufactured so was only used briefly. Its a little dusty but will wipe. They're about £65 new + shipping Cover is in Hope Valley, happy to post within UK, probably gonna cost a tenner just for how small it doesn't fold up.
  6. I can't remember where I heard it, but after the "Get Back" movie, Hofner sold 2 or 3 times more McCartney basses than the year before.
  7. Breakfast in America - Supertramp
  8. The Breakfast Line - Cardiacs
  9. That's a very nice example of a rare bass, and I would say a very good price. Fwiw there are MIJ Washburn & Daion/Yamaki - specific FB groups where there might be significant interest in something like this. GLWTS!
  10. Steeleye span, last night at the Apex in Bury st Edmunds. Numbers from the latest album except a couple of obvious ones. Seriously good level of musicianship with a few numbers really venturing into Prog-Rock territory. Not sure I heard one bar of music with 4 or 8 beats in it😆. Some very complicated structures going on. Maddy Prior is now 78 but doesn't sound any different from 50 years ago and the five part harmonies were perfect and excellent bass playing from Roger Carey. All in all, a very good gig.
  11. Burnt Toast and Black Coffee — Mike Pedicin
  12. OP buys a bass, ..then one of these... ...sends the crap half back... Problem solved 🙂 !
  13. T2 fail in the last month.
  14. I'm not a trained fire fighter - I'm out.
  15. Should also add this bass is fitted with Dunlop strap locks. Would consider trades for a Warwick 5 string but not a streamer..
  16. No Milk Today - Herman's Hermits
  17. Mine...
  18. Let me correct you…. 1. OP buys a bass 2. Bass has a badly bowed neck, scratchy pots and the top is mismatched 3. OP returns bass and retailer says they will check the replacement before sending 4. Replacement bass isn’t book matched at all, worse still the wood on the other half is a totally different shade 5. Rather than ranting, OP post a picture on here to check other people’s opinions to make sure he is being reasonable in rejecting the bass 6. 90%+ of people who expressed an opinion think it is unacceptable 7. Possible millionaire owner of guitarguitar exiled somewhere in Belgium starts ranting on this thread🤣
  19. There’s a bit of a story about that one if anyone is interested, it was one of Aston Barrett’s early basses originally ,and when he started touring with the wailers he gave it to Robbie, Robbie thinks he might have played the Hofner on the Wailers Concrete Jungle recording
  20. That’s great news, John. I look forward to coming to see your band! I will definitely keep my ears and eyes open for potential band mates and point them in your direction. Also, over the last few months I’ve made a concerted effort to sample the open-mic and jam nights in and around the fair city of Derby. When it’s appropriate, drop me a line and I can pass on my recommendations for the launch of Level Neville.
  21. Compress ye merry gentlemen! 😇
  22. Hi Rich, you still looking? If it's the same size as the CV Jazz one, I can post it off to you.
  23. Yup. The agreed 25 quid seems the easiest - the path of least resistance (as I suggested earlier). Re the OP, the questions was 'would it bother me?' My answer, a resounding yes.
  24. Today
  25. Hanging it from the ceiling's gonna be a job....
  26. Personally I’d just pay the return postage, mark it down to experience and get looking for another bass
