I'm not sure this is as confusing as you seem to find it. Cultures bleed into and enrich each other - this is a good thing. Taking ("appropriating") an element of another culture in order to suggest a shared experience that may not exist introduces the risk of looking insensitive or cynical. Much as you yourself alluded to above: it's a matter of intent and sensitivity to the subject matter.

Just to bring you up to speed with the last 15 years. It's the same people, chatting the same chat but the gear got lighter, GAS got more intense and basses became a lot harder to sell. Other than that, you've not missed anything. 😀

I have a 10" speaker and a couple of crossover circuits that someone kindly gave me at a previous bash to use to mend a PA top. I didn't need them in the end, and will never use them now, so if anyone wants then I can bring them. I'll dig out the specs.

I've just ordered one for a Warwick Gnome 2/10/4 from Bags & Covers Direct https://www.bagsandcoversdirect.co.uk/ .. after getting a quote from Roqsolid for £78 (including postage) Bags & Covers Direct have priced it at £32!... Communication has been good with them, looking forward to seeing what turns up... I've used Roqsolid for years but they just seem to be getting more & more expensive

Are Indian cricketers that enjoy a nice cup of tea and a crisp ironed shirt and brogues culturally appropriating. How about Bangalore call centre workers in Nike TNs, baseball caps and Jay Z T Shirts? How about if they form a rap group?

Selling my Sushi Box Space Heater - it has a power issue which I’m sure someone with more technical knowledge than me could fix - but if I keep it it’ll just sit and rot. It had a new tube recently fitted too. I’ll take £90 and include shipping The Issue: original issue was a loss of sound which ended up being a tube issue. Tube had been replaced and all worked well - around 2 months after it began to no longer power up properly with the internal LED now lighting faintly rather than steady. I tried a third tube with the same issue. Also caused my hx one to power off indicating it’s pulling too much power from PSU possibly? if you can make use of this or have a go at repairing then it’s an awesome pedal that brings an unbelievable tube quality to your tone. I really miss it! sushi Fx will also repair any of their pedals whilst only charging for parts - so that’s something to consider too but I just haven’t got the time. -

No problem, this has an active BTS circuit and the battery is mounted under the control plate. It has bass & treble cut and boost on the preamp. -
