Have never owned a gold bass before… saw this for sale and just had to have it. Not at all what I expected, full of modern and classic tones and the neck is so so fast
  3. I bought a strap off Joel today, our 3rd transaction at least. He’s a top BC’er and very easy to deal with.
  4. @scrumpymike I've just sent you £15 🤘
  5. Just bought a wireless system off Steve. Easy deal and he kept me updated all the way. Thanks 👍
  6. Or tap up basschatters local to you
  7. Thats fine.
  8. Sounds about right 😂! Hardly inspires me to make a 600 mile round trip 🙄 Thank goodness for the likes of basschat. Living at the end of the Earth, it's great to be able to reach out to fellow members for help and advice 👍
  9. Wow! That’s has to be a good feeling. I wonder if said bassist is on here at all?
  10. Try Pyramid flats...you'll never look back 😊
  11. I’ll knock a tenner off any of the remaining pedals - postage in the UK included.
  12. Boss Dual Cube Bass LX, bought for a project (one gig!) playing bass Uke when it sat on a table and ran off its batts. Never used again since (Other than to test before sale). before you ask, no it won’t keep up with a Heavy metal covers band on a gig, but it is a decent practice amp and could be used (as I did) on small acoustic gigs or even a campfire jam if that’s your bag? With the addition of the Bluetooth adapter (not included) you can access the app and program the LX to your hearts content. Add a footswitch (also not included) you can turn effects on and off, starts/stop the inbuilt drum machine or start stop the inbuilt looper. This unit is in immaculate/brand new condition with all the packaging and candy - manual, boss PSU, mini jack cable. I’ll include UK postage in the price too. Any questions please ask.

  13. Short scale 30” bass. I bought this new a few years ago to put on a Roland GK hex pickup hence the two screw holes either side of the bridge. I also managed to knock one of the tuners and dislodge the elephant ear. I spent a few months looking for the right tuner to replace it, when I found a guy on Facebook MP selling the neck (including tuners) for next to nothing. I modded it a little but for fun - it has a daft (and very easy to remove) competition stripe sticker. It came with Jazz bass style knobs (which I have somewhere and will include) which I replaced with some push on black metal jobs I would say the pickups sound really good on this and they have a good hot output. NOTE: the 2nd neck has one broken tuner (the E string one), you can just see it in the pics. I now have another bass which has the GK pickup so this is now up for grabs. Cheap as chips, might be good for a beginner or a modder - fretted and fretless? Collection only at he moment, demos welcome here in London N21, although its in desperate need of a new set of strings!

  14. Still arguably Boss’ best bass multi FX. It has the dual signal chains that the ME90 lacks. The algorithms are ancient by today’s standard, but as a catch all fx machine it hard to beat. When powered on can be seen from space (it is littered with blue LED’s - remember when that was a thing!) Comes with its original power supply and a tatty but functional Gator soft case. Oh and I had it serviced about 6 months ago so it’s all working nicely. Happy to demo here in London N21 or postage is an option (included in the price). Happy to knock off a tenner for collection.

  15. In 60 years of playing I never had an amp failure, so it wasn't worth it to me to carry another piece of the heavy iron that ruled for the first 40 years or so. But given how small good amps can be had today if I was to keep a spare it would be one of those midget amps rather than a pedal.
  16. David Apologies I didn't send this. Wrote it but didn't press the button That's very kind of you. We'll make it fit one way or a other. Rob
  17. Definitely wouldn't pay late seventies Series I money for what was a basic model originally in Alembic's line up.
  18. Wow! I was in the shop 2 weeks ago and had a long chat with Hamilton all about the process of bow rehairing. No one mentioned imminent closure. 😞
  19. Aye, the wind was fighting me at times on the walk home (thankfully managed to get a bus half way), and today just seen that the garden took a bit of a hiding
  20. Thanks, looks like they are standard size then. My tent pole bag is 120cm which just leaves space for a few leads as well as the lights. Whilst I was checking the dimensions of my existing lights I tool a pic of my adapted bass case with the 'spare' lights in. You can see where I removed some of the foam when I cut it out to accommodate the lights. As a case it offers good protection and will take 5 strip lights at a time

  22. I need a small amp for home use, low volume, headphone option, play solo or with backing tracks, 4-string bass so no need to be concerned about articulation of a low A 5th string. Both the Nano and the Double 4 are similarly priced, the Double 4 being slightly more expensive. I'm wondering what the difference might be in sound quality. I don't slap, am more focussed on 1950's to 60's-style jazz playing with either a fretted instrument or a fretless. Your thoughts would be appreciated.
  23. Was the weather not a bit horrendous up your way last night @neepheid. ? Dave
  24. Purchased a while ago but never used. Stingray 5, 3 eq pick guard.
