My oldest offspring is working in a back stage bar somewhere at Glastonbury. I haven't been for several years but the lineup looks unusually appealing this year. I'll be at Gary Numan's warmup show of Friday night. Really looking forward to that. We've got a few big warmup shows in town this year.

ghostwheel started following Tonerider Duke

In my humble opinion, it depends on a couple of things. First one, which strings you're playing. For example, I liked The Duke with Chromes 40-90, but it's nothing special with well broken in Sunbeams. And it's of some importance too, which Split-P you call "standard". Some people who know Fender Pure Vintage '63, say that The Duke sounds very similar to PV63, but not exactly the same. They say, it's got a little bit more mids. I'd say, it's jolly well worth a try as those don't cost an arm and a leg.

I am selling a pair of Shure 315 in-ear headphones in excellent condition. I bought them a while back in Westend DJ in London, but haven't used them all that much. Initially, I bought them to practice bass at home, but never used them to play live. I have used them for a few rehearsals, and they do the job well. They are lightweight, sit nicely, and the cable is sturdy. The sound is mid-focused, making it ideal for vocalists or guitar players. It works for bass as well, just don't expect massive low-end. They will come with all Shure accessories (pouch, extra eartips). I did buy an additional cable with a mic for them, but never tested it. I will also include some extra eartips I have. This is a genuine pair of Shure headphones/IEMs, so buy with confidence. Thanks! Free postage in the UK.

I was a Worthing resident around this time, and Graham made me an exceptional 62 Precision. I also 'liberated' a lovely Les Paul that he had made, that was caught up with the demise of Broadway Music. I don't immediately recognise a bass player called Peter, but I can ask my chums from that era. Graham is a wonderful guy and exceptional luthier. I remember being at his home and him showing me a gorgeous early 60's Strat that he had made two weeks earlier. This was early 80's and well before relicing was a 'thing'. It looked absolutely genuine to me.
