  1. Past hour
  2. I’ve just tried to sign up and after entering bank details I get this message and it takes me back to the previous page. Details are correct? I’ll try from laptop in a bit.
  3. Joel McIver is a fantastic editor (and author) to have in the hot seat and, it was between Joel and our @Mike Brooks that I have to thank for my job and many years working with them with my own column each month in Bass Guitar Magazine and later Bass Player Magazine. Wishing you all very well in this new venture ☺️ @Gunsfreddy2003
  4. The tone of my guitar playing brother’s voice when he said ‘I need you to play bass’.
  5. £6.95 delivered? Seems very reasonable! Loads of the specialist magazines (not those sort) in Smith’s are £9.99. Good for you for filling a gap and taking a risk. I’ll sign up!
  6. Not to mention the S1,S1 classic,Series 2,S2 Classic,Barracuda,Shark,T bass and Groove models 🤣
  7. Ive been using the Xvive A58 for a while now. Not one drop out and its very compact. You can also change the battery when it starts giving less running time, as these things do and will. I can get 2 rehearsals out of a charge which is nice if i forget to charge them.
  8. Thing is, after watching Danny Sapko, I'm not convinced everything Mohini does isn't A.I. 😸
  9. Now added 👍
  10. "Lurid Machine" I see today in post your pedalboard that's a good name
  11. Hi. How much for Smith? Thanks
  12. I don't think I've encountered one like that. I maybe need to pull more pickups apart.
  13. Hey gang! I'm just doing a bit of tinkering with a MIJ J... I've popped the covers off the pickups, and found these underneath, with round ends and square holes in the top. Anyone know if these are these generic MIJ J pickups? Ta!
  14. Bought these from StringsDirect for £69 to fit an old 70s Ric, which had previously been wearing TI jazz flats, as I wanted a little more bite to the sound. However, the super low tension (which is >10% lower than TI flats at 122 pounds) of the jazz rounds turns out to be too low to work with the peculiarities of the neck. The A/D/G are unclipped and essentially mint, the E silk is slightly clipped (a couple of inches) but would have no problem fitting well on a 4 in line as well as a 2+2 headstock. Enjoy my financial pain and grab these for £40 plus a few quid for post.
  15. Today
  16. What about seeing if eg Charles Berthoud will give the updated VIP an IMA style review? Could be a game changer in terms of sales? Even better, get him to A/B it with the MXR in a leading bass synth pedal shootout?
  17. I will come and find you, very good news indeed. Come and stop by my stand Vintage Bass Room for a chat, I know @AndyTravis will be there and a few others too
  18. Another forJamiroqai, but my first taste of them was Emergency on PlanetEarth. The tone is probably more to do with the bass than anything, but absolutely loved it, and it was one of the first albums I actually sat down and learned!
  19. I don’t disagree with any of that, I just think that the innovation now needs to happen outside of the internet or any digital domain. With things as they currently are, no matter how amazing the art, if your end result is a jpeg or an mp4 (or whatever digital format), it falls in the same toilet as all the AI stuff.
  20. Remember live gigs on The Tube and wondering...what the hell is that guy doing?
  21. Hi, could you tell me the scale length and string width please. where are you in Germany. Many Thanks Don
  22. Does that mean I won't be able to read it for free in WH Smiths?😯
  23. Violin and glam? There is precedent...
  24. Alice, What's The Matter? - Terrorvision
  25. Anyone needing a fat fingers mod, you can get these from thonk and they work great. You can either honour the original colour scheme or go rogue, your choice!
