In March I sent a bass via Interparcel/Parcelforce and used a heavy duty bicycle box (130cm x 40cm x 20cm if I remember correctly) with no extra charges. -
Best ear defenders for live performance?
Stub Mandrel replied to Bass Wielder's topic in General Discussion
I think it depends on your ears and the style of earplug. I have no issue getting a good seal with ordinary 'three cup' earplugs. -

I fitted plain washers to my B2 about 40 years ago, and more recently to my Jack V. Still a bit of annoying stiction when you first turn the tuners (although these are the only bases I've ever encountered that can stay in tune for over a year!) You've inspired me, so I've ordered ten thrust bearings for £6 from eBay, that will leave me one spare!

Anyone reading this needs to get proper moulded ones. Saving 100 quid to use plugs which are not guaranteed to seal is asking for trouble. Every one of us who has tinnitus/top end loss/hyperacusis (sp?)/something else would spend that 100 quid without blinking to make their hearing right. Most of us would spend 10 or 20 times that. But we cannot. Once the damage is done, it is game over. No one sits there listening to their ears whine/grumble/rumble or just not work and thinks "so glad I saved the cost of 3 sets of strings". Do it right first time. I am not pointing at anyone who is using anything else.

might be a g3, but just trying to justify it. Im playing the ripper a lot recently, so its the same feel with a different sound. I’ll entertain offers on this 51 though…the Yamaha has sold and I’ve had 2 messages about the Danelectro so I’m hoping I can make space in the rack. Id love to live in a world where I could keep them all…but I’d need a spare house.

When our band kicked off a couple of years ago, the premise was that every member ( 5 of us ) had to sing lead vocals on various tracks, mainly because we didnt have a front man. Only 3 members had sung lead before. I wasnt one of then, so i had to get stuck in. Not easy so i found out, and it depended on what bass line i was paying at the time. But it worked out ok cos i kept at it, and had around 5 tracks to sing lead on. Just practice , there's no magic.

Strange. Parcel Farce used to state in their T&C's that they dont insure guitars, though they will still accept your parcel, but wont pay out if damaged or lost. Have their excluded items changed to now accept guitars -

My computer feels dirty now.... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rumble_(company) To give credit where it's due, the bass playing is the best thing about that video. -
Does anyone use thing like Y splitters to separate the bands connections and the connections to front of house? Splitters seem sold out everywhere?
