  2. Dunno how much the Hohners differ, but in the case of my B2B, I found that the length of the strap was essential - and the B2B has been the only bass I've had that was that peculiar about it. With that bit out of the way, however, the B2B worked perfectly for my body. Of course different bodies have different angles etc. As to sitting, I missed that Steinberger fold-out thingie, but better solutions than that should be easy fixes.
  3. Barefaced One Ten Cab 200 watt 8 ohms. Excellent condition with the usual tolex lift at the back. A nice loud little cab, very light and perfect for small gigs and rehearsals. Pickup preferred but I could post at buyer’s cost in the UK.
  4. If you're really worried (given the occasion) you could ask your doctor for Beta Blockers ? Good luck, and try to relax. Knowing that everyone there will be rooting for you will help. So sorry about your brother.
  5. You won't need to be VAT registered, unless your turnover exceeds the VAT threshold. You'd be claiming back the VAT on your costs but charging VAT to your customers (making you 20% more expensive). Let's say you buy (VAT'able) parts at £600 (incl £100 of VAT). If you plan to make £200 out of the bass you are looking at two possiblities. VAT registered you will charge (500 + 200) + 20% = 840 Non-registered you will charge (600 + 200) = 800. Being VAT registered also imposes admin costs so you would have to add those costs into your pricing model. VAT registration is a no brainer if your customers are VAT registered. Not so much if they aren't.
  6. One of @NancyJohnson's advantages is that he has a reputation on basschat, as an all-round good egg, and nice chap. That counts for something - I know that he won't act in a way that will harm my interests, because he would in turn damage his hard-won reputation.
  7. Oops, sorry🙈 they have been slightly trimmed with plenty of silk left for a good few turns to fit a single sided Fender J or P Bass Cheers, Tim
  8. Two Of Us - Beatles
  9. Have a bump on me - these things are awesome
  10. Looking to move my qupac on as I’m pulling the trigger on an SQ. comes with the manufacturer fitted case. I’m based in Leicester, but I’m quite often in Birmingham/Sheffield/Nottingham
  11. Good way to find out that everybody in the band was a closet polka fan... and then what?
  12. The one I have is really well made. It’s been a brilliant purchase.
  13. I thought it was ok particularly in the context of the usual Saturday evening tv fare. Quite a feat to get a potentially unwieldy large orchestra playing tightly together, most of the time. Good rhythm section played their part in this. Bass seemed a bit weak initially then it became stronger particularly when the arrangements doubled it with tuba. BVs great as were Jacob Lusk and Beverley Knight. Others in between were a bit iffy. And the audience were clapping on two and four. Strictly CD it wasn’t!
  14. Bought in the hope i could get away with 30 all valve watts but unfortunately not. Brand new JJ EL84’s fitted and comes with a spare set of EH valves. Really nice amp and tone to die for - if i could have this tone with more power id be in heaven! Collection from Bolton or could do a meet up. Could cut a deal if you want the ABM 4x10 ive also advertised on here
  15. I had a revelation on Friday/Saturday I've been struggling the past few weeks with my IEMs. I didn't realise they were the problem, I thought my hearing was to blame. Everything seemed too loud and my in ear mix wasn't working It dawned on me after Friday night's dep gig that the seal wasn't very good I changed the comply tips, I've had the same ones for over a year All of a sudden, Wham! Perfect seal and a near perfect mix at Saturday's gig I am so happy
  16. Peavey did plenty of PJ/jazz neck models. B-90 is the blue one. Foundation S black on the right 2nd photo. 3rd photo DynaBass black on left, Unity red on the right. Zodiac DE Scorpio l & R 4th photo. You could buy all 6 for under £1400 🙂
  17. One of the Levy’s straps now sold. Still got the other one and the Fender strap folks…
  18. Hi Chris, Seems I don’t automatically get a notification when someone replies! I’ve PM’d you the number. Terry
  19. It’s such a hard thing. To make it worthwhile you need to buy the goods at cost. So you’ll need to be VAT registered. Then you’ll need to ensure they’re well built, work well and you have a customer service policy in place. If you’re selling goods commercially you have responsibilities to the buyer (and the taxman). You could build a few and then sell them online here, but personally I can’t see it being worth the effort.
  20. Hi. After much deliberation, I am putting up for sale my Barefaced Retro Two10. Silver cloth grille version; drivers are Barefaced 10CR250. 12 Ohm non-switchable, comes with a Roqsolid padded cover. Tested and working. Has been pretty much in retirement since I bought my AER Amp One. Far too good a cab to not be used other than taking up space. Slight Tolex-lift on the rear and side/bottom panels to which I have effected a modestly-successful repair. Other than that, this cab is in excellent condition. Lightly gigged and never pushed hard. Couriered at cost (£30 max depending on insurance) or pre-arranged pick up within a reasonable distance for fuel cost.

  21. One of the best combo around, and it's damn powerful. GLWYS.
  22. Is anyone from here going to that service ? they might be able to give you constructive criticism or more likely praise
  23. I print mine at work, doesnt cost me anything then 😇 Agree with BigRedX, the standards size is 85mm x 55mm as it's pretty much the same size as a credit card, so fits in a wallet better. We are finding more and more that people are using 88.9 x 50.8 instead. Not on purpose, but that a the default that some programs use and they dont bother to change it. Also if you are going to have a background printed or anything that goes right to the edge, it's better to set up a 3mm bleed on each side.
