  2. Spector NS Ethos 5 HP in immaculate condition. Gun metal grey high gloss finish with black hardware, upgraded pickups and pre amp with EMG 40P5 at neck position and EMG 40DC at bridge position with LHZ3 pre amp. EQ controls are volume, blend, bass and treble. The tuners have also been upgraded to Gotoh 350 Res-o-lite. This is a thru-neck bass. It comes with a Spector padded gig bag. I’ve had this bass around a year. It has no dings or marks, plays great and sounds fantastic. Only selling as a nasty bill has arrived and I need to get the money from somewhere. No trades thanks. Collection preferred, I live approximately 15 minutes from junctions 14 and 15 of the M1. I will ship however if the buyer wishes to arrange their own courier. The bass has its own gig bag and I have proper bass shipping boxes that it will be sent in. Please note, I took the photos myself and I am blind. I’ve tried to capture the bass as best I can so please bare that in mind whilst viewing them. Spector NS5 Ethos HP proof video.mov

  3. And includes the incredibly useful mix mode (band pass with dry blend).
  4. Wash Your Face in My Sink - Dream Warriors
  5. TL:DR - (South) Manchester BCers - who does your setups? Not sure if this goes here or in repairs & technical? My regular setup bloke has called it a day. Try as I might, my amateur bodging aided by YouTube can't get close. Can the BC hive mind recommend me someone? Cheers!
  6. I had 2 that never traveled and were rarely folded…failed in exactly the same way.
  7. Badass 3 bridge never been used. £55 including UK postage
  8. One of the few high street manufacturers where consistency is such that you can be pretty confident that one of their instruments will be good, without even touching it. When playing these in the past I thought they were particularly good - a really well designed and useful bass; I personally much prefer a pickup selector switch and master tone and volume. I suspect that this one is an awful lot of bass for not much cash. Glwts
  9. Let’s try to find a date and venue Phil. Incidently, the space for the “stage” was restricted at open mic and the 8” tops helped as even the 12” would have seemed intrusive. I was very pleased with the sound of the vocals and acoustic guitar. The nice thing about s sub of any size is that it is not in the sight lines of the audience.
  10. Set of rack mount bars for a GK RB amp. I haven’t owned a GK amp for several years but they would have come off of either a 1001RB II or a 700RB III as I owned both. The bars are complete with all parts including screws. No trades thanks. Price includes shipping to locations within the UK. I took the photos myself and I am blind, so my apologies if they look like they were taken by a drunk person.

  11. I owned a USA G&L Fallout a few years back with a tribute model as a backup. From a fetish the object point of view, I wish I still had the USA one with it's quarter sawn neck and fancy tuners BUT....sonically it was no better at all than the Tribute. My only basses now are 2 tribute Fallouts, one with flats one with rounds. It's a strange feeling, having played bass for 40 years; you feel there should be a justification for having a vintage fender ( those days are gone now for me) or some other bass with kudos. The brute truth is that in the band I'm in, the basses I currently own work better than anything else I've tried. At around £300 s/h each. OK I've upgraded the tuners, but for no good reason really. I think, like Danelectro guitars ( I read an interview with Lindy Fralin where he said the stock pickups in his Korean Dano where perfectly good enough), by their essence 30 inch scale basses are ' good enough ' at a lower price point than 34 inch scale. You can try and make them more ornate but perhaps the inherent lack of dead spots and the bloom of notes up the dusty end makes them great value and utility. Just my experience anyway.
  12. 12 o’clock does seems to be the standard move with all Markbass amps and FOH engineers are usually happy with the level they get from that. Most venues that have Markbass gear in-house will already have their line out pre-set to 12 so it must be a decent signal level at that setting

  14. I'm the very pleased new owner of Ian's Tech 21 XB Driver. And what an amazing pedal it is! It arrived just as described and the day after posting. Thanks Ian!
  15. Selling this for a friend who's not using it any more. Midnight Blue MIM Standard Jazz made in 1999. Nice colour and well looked after ....no major dings I could see.....just needs a quick set up and it will be good to go. It's been sat in our dry, clean 'ish' rehearsal room for a few years and needs a new home. At the moment it's collection from south Manchester but could travel 20 max 30 minutes for a meet up if required. I forgot to weigh it before when I took the photos. Will add the weight next week. No trades thanks.
  16. Yeah, sorry man. Didn't mention it to give you more work, more that I unsurprisingly couldn't last five days into the new year without buying stuff
  17. I seem to remember a Fender magazine ad with Geddy Lee in with one of these? Very nice!
  18. Incredible fly rig and practise tool. I haven't looked at anything else to do those jobs since I got mine years ago. Underrated, great value and built like a tank. Glwts
  19. Bump - I’d completely forgotten about these being still for sale. Feel free to PM me if I’ve misjudged the price on these.
  20. Ampeg PF350. Sounded damned fine, too.
  21. To present another view I have an Ashdown amp I’m trying to sort out for a friend who can’t afford a replacement and they don’t have the wiring diagrams and didn’t offer any help with the issue. I have maybe figured out what’s wrong but I’m not sure without the diagram and if it is what I’m thinking it is I can’t buy the replacement component anyway so the whole thing will go in the bin. Put me off getting one tbh.
  22. Today
  23. @Ruarl Just seen that you're in Manchester. So am I if you fancy having a try on mine to get an idea?
  24. Profile is quite shallow nut width just over 41mm
  25. Re-release version. It’s been used, so isn’t pristine but works fine. Velcro on the base. No original box.
