  1. Past hour
  2. Oh my - the dream amp! I love an Ashdown! I had a CTM300 but that was total overkill, but the 100w didn't cut it. 200w tube amp through that 15 inch cab must be absolutely glorious!! I know it must weigh the same as a neutron star, but what are the cab dimensions please?
  3. The VBO is very good but I eventually got an MIJ OC-2 and the latter is noticeably nicer (both in terms of sound and feel) and tracks almost as well. Easy choice for me. I’ve not had the OC-5 and OC-2 at the same time, but did have the OC-5 and VBO together and preferred the feel of the VBO. There was definitely a bit of a disconnect in feel for me and I sold it on quickly.
  4. Straight Up - Paula Abdul
  5. I will really miss this - it’s been a superb get together and I have met some fantastic people there. Mr, Mrs Scrumpy and the Scrumpettes have made this a great event over the years. A big thank you from me for everything. All the very best!!
  6. Messaged him to say it was an Explorer not a Blitz, and he's messaged me back to say Hamer never made an Explorer, that was Gibson, 100% it's a Blitz and he has a collection of Hamer from 20 years of running a Def Leppard tribute. I've messaged him back to suggest he googles Hamer Explorer.
  7. Straight edge - NOFX
  8. You need to get a v4: tracking is even better. And some tasty treats coming soon.
  9. Hello all Trying to update my new HX One from 3.70 to 3.83 and it just won't work. I have installed Line 6 Librarian and Line 6 Central with no issue, but when I get to this screen: If I click on "update from file", which I have downloaded, it allows me to select the file, but then if I try and click on "perform update" it does nothing. I mean, my mouse clicks, obviously, but nothing happens on screen. Any ideas on what the issue is? Cheers G
  10. .
  11. Genz NX212 or Neox212 cabs pop up occasionally around your budget. That's what I would go for I think
  12. Donate? 🤔😂 The Allen keys may belong to Allan, so they can be Allan's Allen keys... 😉
  13. Great review of this preamp/DI by Janek Gwizdala in this mega YouTube clip.. According to Janek, it comes out really well against some much more expensive opposition. GLWTS 👍
  14. Honestly I think there is a whole load of that "see digital, hear digital" problem, and its really difficult to get past. I know I suffer from it, and flip flops between my digital rig and my analog rig. However I definitely think this new era of modellers/capture devices (QC, Anagram etc.) have a very realistic "feel" to them. I know it's a rubbish comparison, but when compared to something like my old PodXT, the pod just feels dead.
  15. Don't ever try to ask him something even kindly, you'll understand what king of person he really is and what his only goal is.
  16. Thanks for all the interest - it's still available just now & I've dug out the original packaging which is in good shape, so UK postage is definitely an option... 👍
  17. Straighten Out - The Stranglers
  18. The best you can hope for is a really cheap pair of single 12 cabs that you can manage with a trolley and separate lifting.
  19. The cabs are stackable so relieving the stress on my two slipped discs 😁
  20. Never seen the bottom packaging before. Used these strings a lot before switching to NYXLs, was always the top packaging but perfectly possible they've changed, could even be why they selling them cheap.
  21. cheers Mark , it’s lovely just needs playing
  22. Q\Strip in very good condition. Clean Velcro applied to underside. A very nice piece of kit, just surplus to requirements. Price includes UK postage.
  23. Today
  24. Second cab reason? Backache, not so far to bend to turn up to 11.
  25. Somewhat reluctant sale and contingent on another instrument I might be interested in on the forum. I’m otherwise not interested in a trade at this moment. Bought new 2024, Fender CS 63 Precision, 2022. Original case, authentication paperwork, a great bass that’s currently strung with Thomastiks Flats and sounds fantastic. It’s got the usual trappings of a CS instrument - quartersawn maple neck, CS 62 P pickup a light amount of relic which is what appealed - the Journeyman’s get the relicing just right - round lam rosewood fretboard, very comfortable C shape neck. I’m Wirral based - collection preferred but I’ll consider postage at buyer’s cost. Any questions on the bass at all don’t hesitate to reach out. Liam

  26. It arrived this afternoon. It's immaculate, unused, boxed with original screws, Allan keys and instructions. Might donate it to a museum! 😆
