As Line 6 have kept the Helix nomenclature, I would make the (perhaps rash) assumption that HX Edit will also be used for the Stadium, which means an updated version will be coming on the Stadium's release. Also, the release of the Stadium might mean a firmware update to the older members of the family. Presumably Line 6 don't think that this announcement will cause sales of the top end Helices to drop off while people wait for this, as there's such a pricing gulf. Of course, if they've got a few Stadium Junior devices lined up to replace the Stomp sub-family, they won't want to announce that until they're ready for release.

Is the bass in question fretted?

I still want them to put the guts of the current HX Stomp into the case of the POD Go Wireless, so you have a proper, small one-box gigging solution that's more usable than the current HX Stomp and less of a compromise than the current POD Go, and has the built-in expression pedal, wireless system, etc. They could rename it the HX Go. It could stand to gain an XLR output too, perhaps.

Bit dusty in here all of a sudden.

Well I am looking forward to hearing more about these, and hopefully there might be a Stomp Stadium or something to follow. I like my QC but there's plenty I miss about the Helix ecosystem and I certainly wouldn't mind going back.

dudewheresmybass started following Stranglehold fx?
-
what ho peeps I'm just helping a band out and they want to do Nugent's Stranglehold. However, none of them are particularly fx savvy and IMO it needs the Flangy/ phasey movement somewhere. In a rehearsal last week I used a wah and sweeping it slowly, but it didn't quite work for me. Any suggestions? So far I've tried MXR evh90, phase 90 clone, electric mistress flanger. TIA

I had a Sandberg TM4 with a pau ferro fingerboard. lt felt very similar to rosewood to be honest. The bass had a lovely rich tone; not sure how much of that was the fingerboard but it certainly sounded warmer than a very similar bass I had with a rosewood board.

Bought a Squier P Bass pickup from James. No nonsense and delivered quickly. Would happily buy from him again. Thanks James 👍

Thought I'd add to this thread Just sold a Tone Hammer to @Adolfhipster Roger, in the process I accidentally sent him money via PayPal instead of requesting it. 🤦♂️ He returned the money instantly without issue. We then proceeded with the sale. Trustworthy guy

Bought a couple of books from Ian. Super easy to deal with and he sent them over really quickly. Always a pleasure to deal with!

Using the stacked knobs definitely takes some getting used to during a live performance but I am enjoying the range of tones I can get from fine-tuning and blending the pickups.

Why does Thomann take so long to despatch?
Dan Dare replied to Jean-Luc Pickguard's topic in General Discussion
This. It would make no sense for them to despatch dozens of individual parcels to the UK. Easier and cheaper to put them all in the UK-bound container and ship it weekly. Not unreasonable of them. -

the meatbox has alot of sub that you just wont hear with an amp, it will be high passing it, honestly if you have a way of sending it to the pa thats the best way! it an amazing thing but into an amp and cab its a bit tame

Selling my Ibanez ATK300. This is one of the made in Japan ones and serial number puts it at 1994. Great active bass, currently stringed with labella flats. Brilliant bass, I have a new bass on the way so this one has to go. Quite a lot of marks, chips and dings all over it but. it is over 30 years old. The neck has some dings on the back of it which I have never had issues with. This is in no way pristine which I have reflected (hopefully) in the lower price than ones I could see (MIJ) having sold on here previously. Collection only, as I don't have anything to pack it and post it. £250

Selling my SVT-CL, glorious sounding amp but I haven't needed to use it much over the past year. All works flawlessly and come with a cover (has a lot of marks on it) This has a few knock marks which I've tried to show in the pictures but nothing that affects performance. it is nearly 20 years old. This is a US Built one and the serial number puts it at Feb 2007 which would make it one of the last ones built in the US before manufacturing moved. Collection only as this is a heavy bit of iron with valves! Collection from Sandy, Bedfordshire. £850

I tried to commission a HW last year. Initial communications were fine, agreed most of the specs than when I tried to confirm and pay a deposit, he just blanked me. Won't answer any of my messages. Peculiar.

I enquired about that too , it looks really good , I do like a stack knob jazz and a great colour, congrats
