Rob MacKillop Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago What the Subject Line says: Is there UK maker of Rob Allen style basses? Not copies, but similar vein. Quote
Russ Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago What Owen said. In addition to the Mule, Alan’s been experimenting with a few interesting new designs lately, including a “skeleton” bass that’s basically a solid top and back, with a hollow, sparred interior. Shuker will also make you more or less anything you want - I saw a nice, Leduc-style floating top semi-acoustic from him recently that was rather nice. I’m sure he could make something similar in short scale. Quote

LeftyJ Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Sire GB5 series, Godin A4/A5? Not UK-made obviously, but rather interesting and I think the Sire offers remarkable value for money. Quote

I'd only played the demo model of the Shuker Artist, but IMO it wasn't anywhere like as good as a proper Rob Allen. Quote
