Those are wonderful. I have an older Ray , big chunky neck , G string is slightly soft , classic 3 band eq and I keep it close to the couch so it’s handy to pick up.

The neck profile is really comfortable, too: Slender side to side, chunky front to back, the latter then again being somewhat remedied by the tiny vintage frets, which I‘ll personally choose over jumbos any day of the week and twice on Sunday. Which it is, and I did, I guess.

OK, actually it's a dirt cheap Kay Gremlin the owner wants to go to a loving home... it can be mates with my Kay Tulip.

Well this didn't take too long. I entered the game on the 16th of April. And now...

Tier 2 fail for me.

 

I am now the owner of an EMU Classic Keys Module, formerly owned by @ash.

 

I can use the midi capability on my Kurzweil SP76 to drive it. Sadly, I don't yet have much piano playing capability to play it well, but so far I am enjoying the extra sounds.

Thinking that I may as well be hung for a sheep (ie a seriously expensive bass) as for a lamb (Rich's excellent EBS Session 60), I have just blown the year's budget on this very beautiful Duesenberg Motown Bass

Almost too beautiful to play, but not quite...

I like big hollow body basses , and I love the look of that Deusenberg. Nice sheep.

Glad you like the Session 60. The Smoothound is great - one less wire on the floor and makes practice a bit easier and therefore a bit more frequent.

I almost bought an audio interface for recording into my laptop, before reading on the Google thing that I can use my zoom Hn4 for this very purpose! 

Still out though, as I bought a Hype 8 monitor earlier this month! 🤭

Strike me off the list for I have sinned big time......

 

Just snuck in before the start on NYE with a MarkBass 5 string Gloxy, a GR800 head and a GR AT212 cab and was hopeful of making it to the finish. 

 

Fast forward 5 months and they've all been moved on and replaced with a Spector Pulse 5 string with an LHZ preamp, a Bugera Veyron amp and an LFSys Monaco cab.  

 

Next year is a dead cert win.....
