Davo-London Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 6 basses 2 straps. Both top quality wide leather straps. Why do you need more than 2? Peace Davo Quote

Now you're taking the Gollum thing too far! 1 Quote

Now you're taking the Gollum thing too far! Not at all. I prefer to adapt my mood as the occasion requires. Your strap collection sort of enforces cheerfulness, whether or not you actually feel cheerful. Remember, the bass players job is to stand next to the drummer and look fed up. Largely because we're stood next to the bloody drummer 1 Quote

Bobthedog Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 Currently only three bass guitars but nine guitar straps. Ten if I include the Jock. Quote

Stub Mandrel Posted March 13, 2019 Author Posted March 13, 2019 This gorgeous one arrived today! Really long leather tabs and very thick material too and only £3.99 from a UK seller! 1 Quote
DaytonaRik Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 Surely it's always 1 per bass/guitar that you own hence a total of 7 for me Quote
paul_5 Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 My main strap is a 3" neoprene one for my dicky shoulder that I use for both basses and skinny guitar. I've got a couple of others lying around that I don't really use. Big, fat, stretchy straps are the way forward. Quote

fleabag Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 5 currently, but one will be hoofed into the skip soon. Of the keepers, this is my fave ... it's a beastly 4" and unbelievably comfortable https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/208644801/wide-guitar-strap-bass-guitar-strap?ref=landingpage_similar_listing_top-4&frs=1 Quote
fretmeister Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 One for each instrument and a couple that I don’t use anymore. almost all are Neotech Mega Bass Straps. Quote

I've just realised I can use them to make broad under-straps. Adding one to my genuine Ace peace and dove strap will give me the authentic Neil Young effect (just add a Gold Top LP and paint black...) 1 Quote
fleabag Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 Also a veggie going on 35 years + and i got mine second hand ( and free ) by mistake ! I would never pay such a ridiculous £88 for a strap Quote
ezbass Posted April 20, 2019 Posted April 20, 2019 I've suddenly realised that I have more straps than I need, especially pristine, padded leather ones. Time to hit the for sale section. 1 Quote
SH73 Posted April 21, 2019 Posted April 21, 2019 What's a guitar strap. I am a solo home "artist" do don't use one really. I own a comfort strap and two cheapos that probably dug in your shoulders and neck. I found one under the workbench covered in dust. Quote
bazzbass Posted April 21, 2019 Posted April 21, 2019 Fart oo many 6 basses, 9 straps, at least. I've got a nice padded leather one for my Fender Am Std and am slowing buying the same strap with different colour upholstery backing for the others. I've recently installed the Diablo Twist Lock strap pins so once a strap is on it's staying on Quote

It's so comfortable, can't see myself ever getting rid! It fixes the only minor problem I have with my Jazz - the weight! The other is just a cheapo nylon (probably) strap that I stuck on a titchy little Yamaha Pacifica, as that's already light as a feather. Quote
