How is the Pwnzor?
Here's some brief thoughts copy pasted from a a convo I had with someone over at Talkbass:

I'm no connoisseur of compressors; my first compressor was an EBS Multicomp, then I tried a few different pedals before going back to the Multicomp. Afterwards I changed to the MXR.

The feel of the Pwnzor is more reminiscent to that of the EBS. This is probably due to the low ratio of both pedals and relaxed attack speed. That said, it doesn't impart its own sound on your tone as much as the EBS did and I have more control of the Pwnzor.

The MXR didn't add anything really to my sound and acted, in comparison, as a limiter more than anything else. The noise floor is lower with the Pwnzor than the MXR (with my own equipment).

If you want clinical, fast compression the MXR is a great choice. If you want something that adds a bit of extra "oomph" to your sound I'd pick the Pwnzor; what it does is subtle but adds a touch more life to my sound.

This isn't a great example but I recorded a short clip today to show a friend what compression does to a bass' signal:

First run through is without the Pwnzor, then with. As the last note decays I turn the Pwnzor off and back on intermittently to show how a compressor can take a quiet signal and amplify it while keep spikes in check.

Recorded with a Stingray > Pwnzor > OLD Hartke 20 watt combo > SM58

I really like the Pwnzor so far, but I have been able to distort it by digging HARD with my my hottest output basses. So long as I don't dig in like that (which I'd never do in a live situation) I'm quite confident that this will be a permanent member of my board. Just need to try it on some upcoming gigs :)

I need a bit of advice from the experts, my current effects chain is:-

Tuner, Compressor, Synth-Wah, Chorus, Noise Surpressor.

I have recently purchased an Eden WTDI Bass Preamp for a little volume boost and tone shaping where would you suggest I place it in my effects chain?

Tks in advance

Anyone help as this simple question I cant seem to find an answer to even on the manufacturers website.

Can I power my EDEN WTDI Direct Box/ Preamp using my T-Rex Fuel Tank Junior using the yellow T-Rex doubling voltage cable
This makes 2 x 9 volts into 18 volts, my EDEN has 15V printed next to the power input

Tks

Current set up.....Source Audio Overdrive to MXR Octave to Source Audio Envelope filter to TC Electronics Flashback 4 for delays and loops. Source audio hot hand and ebow on hand too. Also have Expression and volume pedal (not shown)....hours of fun!
