I'm listening to Moving Pictures by Rush - in honour of my old band mate and one of Neil Peart's biggest fans, Tony Mathias. He died today after a massive heart attack so I'm having a little weep to myself whilst I listen.

Sorry to hear about your loss.

I Should Coco - Supergrass: love M.Quinn’s punchy tone.

I'm listening to (and learning) Lost Stars from the movie Begin Again. THE KEIRA KNIGHTLEY VERSION NOT THE BLASTED FOUL (Oh I Love His Falsetto) Adam Levine version (sound of wretching although I sinisterley love it). My girl can seriously sing the offal out of anything so we gonna do a duo this year (Dangerous Adventures) & some other covers and some extreme Corporal Punishment . Oh by the way Begin Again is  a good movie  I SAY SO.

So sorry to hear sad news mate. Sympathy and condolences to family and friends.

The new Sepultura - really good, particularly for a band at this stage of their career

Some guy droning on on the telephone in an open plan office. FFS shut up.
Rant over.

Guitarist and drummer suggested having a jam with this song to break up the run of the mill pop Glam covers we do during rehearsals (6hr sessions).

Always loved this song but not really suited for playing live with our 70's Glam Covers band.

Great song from an amazing under-rated "rock" band.

A return to my youth, Genesis, Seconds out, still an awesome album, I was 16 when it first came out and I still love it now. Sublime version of carpet crawlers, what's not to love.

mine too, not a fan of their pop stuff, whilst it bought them commercial success it did nothing for me personally.

Indeed.

And every single band member has a 'Bev Bevan' haircut 🙂

The fantastic and unique 'Toy Matinee' album with songs written by the late, great Kevin Gilbert (RIP) & Patrick Leonard and some of the most wonderful bass playing ever, courtesy of Guy Pratt:
