There are two lovely sixers in the marketplace at the moment that are both ruined by a gold bridge and tuners, making a £2K bass look like it came out of a kinder egg. It's got to be in serious competition with the single cut as the worst crime against bass aesthetics. I know I could just change them but thats a faff and extra expense... Kinda pimp-ish, but nonetheless classy. Gold on cherry red also works, especially when it goes old and matte or even slightly corroded. I think it looks ok against the bubinga body, what other people think is of little importance. My SB Elite came with gold hardware. Again, it looks pretty good. But there are basses out there that look lovely with gold hardware.
