1.
Afraid to say that headstock looks a bit too Ritter-like for me... Not that there's anything wrong with Ritter, but this isn't one!
Definitely got the Ritter vibe too. Weirdly I think that the black with the white like shape marks add to this. When I think of Ritter basses I always think like thick glossy finishes which is why I feel like this is leading my thinking. I think once in the wood it'll lose a lot of that feeling and feel more unique. Especially once those Swifts are added!
2.
Hello fella what sort of cost to ship, weight wise I live in sheffield and it is a hell of a distance to travel to collect. Cheers lad Cheeky bump too
A very rough estimate would be between £15-£22 probably from previous experience. If you give me until Sunday, I'm heading to my parents then so I can get an accurate cost for you.

6. Up for sale is Jaco the Movie DVD. Made with the help of Robert Trujillo. Brand new in wrapper. £15 including postage.
7. Up for sale is a Harley Benton Electroacoustic Deco bass. If you don't know the story, Thomann sell these are decoration only but most of the time there is absolutely nothing wrong with them, unfortunately they are getting harder to get because they sell out almost immediately now. It plays fine, there are no marks or dents, only the D on the back showing it's a Deco. The electronics work, I really don't know why it was classed as Deco. This one is collection only from Weston-super-Mare. I will not post it so please don't ask. £25
8. SOLD Up for sale is my Gallien-Krueger MB200. Selling because I am moving out of my parents house and I don't really play anymore. It's very small and very light but still powerful. Everything works but there is a small chip to the top front and some minor scratches to the top. Kettle lead included. Collection preferred from Weston-super-Mare but can arrange delivery at cost. [s]£200 [/s] £180 SOLD
9. Up for sale is a Genz Benz Focus LT 2x10 cab. The reason I'm selling is because I am moving out of my parents house and haven't really played bass for a while now. So am selling up. I bought this second hand and have never gigged it personally but I think it has been gigged as there are scuff marks on it as will be shown in the photos. Nothing terrible but not pristine condition. 300W/8ohm. Collection from Weston-super-Mare preferred but can arrange delivery if necessary. [s]£170[/s] £150
10. Harley Benton FanFret 5er. First time I've seen one of these up. In stock as well.. Probably because it's £280 https://www.thomann....5bd273fc14a63ce Only about £50 off of full price.
11.
"It doesn't matter because bassists shouldn't be playing above the fifth fret on the two low strings anyway 'lol'. ???????????? Try playing the header of Donna Lee (or pretty much any other Jazz tune) without doing that!! there are a lot of nice chords and harmonics up there too. Used to be said that you only get a good bass tone using as much string length as possible .. so it sort of depends on your priorities. :-)
Just a heads up. 'Lol' means Laugh out Loud. He was joking! I can't remember his real name but Dood is a very, very accomplished player
12. I love 'coffee table' basses but there's just something about the shape of them that puts me off. I've never seen or heard one in the flesh so that might change my opinion, in much the same way as playing a Rickenbacker did. I eagerly await that happening Although, looking at the website the Mk3s with the longer upper horn are much more appealing! Especially with a lovely light wood on the top.
13.
Hi, Myke I generally use the ink straight out of the bottle. I've done a number of threads - I'll try to find the best one. In the meantime, quite a comprehensive one was the westone refurb I did for allighat0r (Bryan) here http://basschat.co.u...ne/page__st__30 That thread covers the way I do veneering too if that's of any interest to anyone
Thank you, I had a lovely time reading through that thread again. Lovely outcome there! Do you use a cloth to apply it?
14. I was wondering whether you could give a little bit more information about how you apply the ink for the colouring? Do you like thin the ink down or anything? If you already have a thread with this in, could you point us in the right direction. Thank you
15. The one on the left is gorgeous! Any more info?
16. So what's the answer? I really like both sides tbh!
