I have to employ a fair bit of damping and ghost notes to be on the money with that bad boy...not so easy when singing simultaneously. [/quote] The actual bassline is very simple but if you don't have 3 electric guitarists and a piano player in your band it can sound just a bit empty. bassace Posted July 4, 2013 Share Posted July 4, 2013 When you're playing covers and relying on your ears you can easily get tripped up when songs that seem simple can have subtle differences between each of the choruses. A good example is Fever, that I used to play on upright. Listen carefully to that and hear the differences, and I don't just mean the semitone lifts. I thought it was going to be a piece of p1ss to learn, but I still have to concentrate a little bit extra when playing it. Still not sure whether to play the last note on the G or D string.
