[technology overload] So I've got to buy an IPhone as well? [/technology overload]
I might be wrong as I'm not that interested in the toneprint part of the amp but I think you can plug it into a PC as well as there's a usb cable supplied.

Just got one of these for practice use as I'm a bit sick of lugging a 6x10 and an Ampeg around, I must admit for the price this is a really good little amp.

I will definitely will using it for some of the smaller venues that my band plays at.

I've not really played with the toneprint much yet, so I can't tell you how good it is or isn't.

I think TC Electronic have built a pretty solid sounding little combo, well worth a try if you don't want to spend a fortune.

Any further updates on your experience with it live?

The crap red sticker is that it peels off

Tried one on the last rehearsal - the singer bought it and put it in his little studio where we practice.

I share Stealth's view on it. Haven't tried the TonePrint thingy, but even without it it's a pretty amazing piece of kit for the price. Sounds really nice, is loud and nicely put together, has good EQ and DI. I like.

I was always drawn to the TC Electronic stuff but given the fact I rarely leave the house with my bass and if I do there is generally an amp to plug into I thought them too expensive. At £325 I'm probably going to get one of these for home and jamming with my pals. Starting selling off some drum stuff on the Ebay to pay for it :)

Do they make any extension cabs to go along with it?

Just think of the day my MB stuff gives up the ghost - this stuff is priced so well.

No extension cab provision. That's not it's remit.

I just got the BH250 head, well chuffed, pretty much same as the amp in the BG250 but without the tube drive. Tone prints are brill. this thing is very loud through my RS112 cab (my home/small gig rig) cant wait to hook it up to my stack and see how much noise i can make with 8 speakes and the drive tone print turned up, I love a bit of grit :D

will it keep up with a drummer jamming in a rock band? Im gonna have to get an amp for jamming with people in the near future and all the amps I like that I can afford are all low power, the micro stack ashdowns and ampegs are great lookin but at 100w are a trifle underpowered . this one is the nearest to a lightweight at a reasonable price for the less well off. probably best bet is to try snag something second hand once i clear out some stuff on ebay

I've used one a few times and saw the same one used by a mates band, they are a fairly average volume three piece pub rock covers band, the guitar amp a 50w Marshall combo.
I found the BG250 did seem overwhelmed, it was there, but pretty driven and not pleasent sounding. I'm not sure how many gigs it would survive like that!
I was going to suggest one for our bassist who is currently using my rig, but I just don't think it would have the power or presence.
As a player using it for a few tracks at an open mic I found it needed a lot of cranking to keep up even at the lower volume and I found the tone useable if pretty 'unsophisticated'. It certainly projected into the room better than up close where it was pretty tricky to hear.
Not a bad but for what it is. But it definitely is what it is.

Ime IMHO ymmv etc

God that guy is boring, hardly gets me rushing out to buy one. Plus it would have been nice to hear him play some bass, instead of that pseudo- guitar jazzy chord bollocks that's all the rage.

Bought one of these last week after trying in PMT Northampton. I gigged it saturday night at a club gig with my trio. Plenty loud enough but found the bottom end quite boomy and not very tight. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm thinking maybe it's something to do with the contouring EQ. I might try again but pull the bass right back to maybe 8 or 9 o'clock on the dial - this would cut around 80hz but add some 100hz (I think). 100Hz I reckon gives a bit more punch. Be interested in the view of the TC guy on here.

Hi, I wanted to know about the output too and have just got thiss email back from TC.

Thank you for contacting TC Electronic Support.
BG250 does not have any external speaker connection. The included speaker is 4 Ohm, so you get the whole power through it.

I hope this information has been helpful. If you should have any additional questions, please feel free to update this incident and I will be happy to assist you further.
Best regards,

Just picked one of these up from PMT M/cr-took it straight to rehearsal....Impressed you bet, exactly what i've been looking for, as for the weight -16kg one handed carry,I'm happy with that.
only one negative imo It would have benefitted with some kind of compression, tube drive is great, especially when you dig in.
Am I going to miss my Hartke/Ashdowns -dont think so
It has got compression, one of the tone prints, and its a string by string compression, much better than the bog standard types.
