1.
I've got the fretted version of this (x2 P pups) and you need to be aware that the pup placement on this bass will have a massive effect on the tone... a warning if you like.
... I can only imagine

3. ... I did vehicle refinishing at college as part of my studies there and nitro cellulose was one of the easiest finishes to achieve a good result with. The spray finish doesn't have to be particularly good as it's easy to finish well. For a bass body sized area you can finish easily by hand absolutely no problems!
4.
Very lovely, a cracking tone and nicely played. Well done.
+1
5. I'm a massive admirer of Tamas Barabas' playing with Djabe, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8MHnDUru6MU He's got a great feel both for upbeat funk stuff along with lyrical fretless stuff. His playing is something I'd like to be aiming for myself tbh.
6. The Zoom looks pretty good, especially for the price. I used to have an EBS Microbass II that had headphones and Aux in (IIRC), however they are more expensive. It could also run on batteries so you could practise on the move lol!
7. Hey all, If you haven't heard of the great bassist and composer Tamas Barabas and the group he's in called Djabe (in an African language meaning Freedom) they have a new album out on Spotify called 20 Dimensions. Their back catalogue spans something like 15 or so albums, first out in '96 I believe. Their early stuff is more of a World vibe in a quartet form with percussion, and from late 90's more of a Jazz/World vibe with the addition of drum kit. Windows Media Player allocated them Ethno Jazz genre label, quite apt lol! I really dig all of there stuff for different reasons, including from a compositional and a bassist view point. https://m.youtube.co...h?v=e9SR6m3GpSs Enjoy. Ps. Most of there stuff is on Spotify and if you want to get some of their albums you can do so direct from them, as they can be quite hard to find sometimes! Pps. This isn't an advertisement for them, I just really like the groups output and wanted to share it with fellow bass players.

9. Hey all, Mark came down to collect the Limelight Jazz this aft. No worries, great comms all the way and would happily deal with again. Thanks again for the sale, Cheers.
10. .... and sold (finally) so please freeze, thanks mods.
11. Price drop to £550 (bass only) for a limited time only, I've seen something that I want on here
12. ... one of the best bargains for the new owner!
13. The maple board one, no 00125 used to belong to me at one point. It played very nicely when I had it with a really nice low action. Moved it on as I prefer 5s more (after a long battle deciding )
14. TTT with a price drop, £600 bass only £625 with case and spare bridge. NB. This bass is collection only, thanks for all the postal offers, but I prefer any buyer to play any bass I sell before it's sold thanks. Peace.
15. TTT, a few nice Limelights on here now. I wouldn't mind getting some of them and selling my wicks lol!!
16. Seems like a bit of a bargain for someone. The pickups have been replaced I think jassbass.
17. Heard a band play at Marsden Jazz Festival and when I had my -18dB earplugs in the noise was comfortable and actually much clearer. I really don't know why some venues have the level so high, they must know about their duty of care and potential hearing damage?
18. .... have I priced this too modestly that people think it's a lemon? I jumped on it when it went down from £800 to £700 and thought I'd snapped up a bargain. I've had a Limelight P bass, and then this jazz. The P played very well, this J does also. If I was sticking to 4 strings I'd sell my 3 Warwick Broadnecked 5 stringers and go for another Limelight jazz. Considering the feel, playability and quality of the components you really can't go wrong with a Limelight. TTT
19. TTT folks. Very nice bass for not a lot really, £650 also includes a spare Fender Roadworn bridge and a Fender padded gig bag. I'd let the jazz go on it's own for £625. That's a great deal, especially as the bass was around £1200 when new. Sorry no vids as I wouldn't really know how to do that lol!
