  1. Loving the bass and the playing 👍🏼 GLWTS
  2. I got a Helix Stomp a bit ago and then decided to build a small board around it with existing boardless pedals. I’m using a Nano + with a Cioks DC7 powering a Radial Tonebone Bassbone, Korg Pitch Black tuner and the HX Stomp. I can’t believe the cost of the board set up has probably matched the Stomp. I had the Radial Tonebone and Korg tuner already, but boards, power supplies and patch cables (buying a few different sorts to fit) have somewhat surprised me by how much they all add up to. I have really enjoyed it, not actually put it together yet, I’ll do it when I’ve got a spare couple of hours lol. Pics up when I’m done 👍🏼
  3. ... the Stomp requires about 1 A to run (even though the PSU is rated at 3 A). The DC7 has variable outputs but can supply 660mA per output at 9V. They recommend using their parallel cable to combine 2 of their 9V outputs to give 1.32 A at 9V. There is a video on YT of them demonstrating this. I have also recently read that some users doing this kind of thing do have problems now and again.
  4. ... just ordered one for my first pedal build. It’s based around a HX Stomp with a Radial Tonebone Bass bone and a Korg Pitch Black tuner powered by a Coiks DC7. Got most of the bits now, however as it’s my first board, basics like cable routing and clearance are a learning experience to say the least lol. Really enjoying the whole process though. It all started with just getting the Stomp, then thought I’d carry on and build around that. I already had the Radial Bassbone, but even considering that I must have spent at least the same as the original cost of the Stomp, ha ha ha!
  5. Great system you use 👍🏼. I’m also looking to join the Say No To Velcro club ha ha 🙂
  6. YOB bass at a good weight 👍🏼 GLWTS
  7. PM’d, I’ll take it please 👍🏼
  8. ... just what I was thinking when listening to it again now.
  9. ... I was just going on the tone I preferred and it was No. 2 overall. I suppose I’ll be going for a Sire if I ever want a jazz again then 👍🏼
  10. ... amazing bargain to be had here folks. Wenge neck, great pickups and preamp, what’s not to like 👍🏼 GLWTS
  11. Ha ha, fantastic observation 👍🏼
  12. +1, the neck grain does look like Wenge more than Ovangkol to my eyes as well. Either way great looking bass 👍🏼
  13. .... hey folks. Just bought Gary’s Radial JDi. A bargain if there ever was one. Excellent communication from Gary and the DI was packaged well and sent very quickly considering the circumstances. Recommended BC’er of the highest order 👍🏼

  16. ... thought about playing to a rhythm track? I’ve done it once or twice when we didn’t have a drummer at our church (now have three 👍🏼). Drumgenius has some nice loops.
  17. + 1 on the playing. If Bill puts up a vid you just know it’s gonna be a goodun 👍🏼
  18. Wow. Great bass at a great price, glwts 👍🏼
  19. ... the vid mentions that they did an English Rose neck variant with rosewood neck and fretboard. Could be a variant of that one then 👍🏼
