1. Ok. Thanks for the suggestions. I've looked at rs and Cpc. They have them, but to order 2 would cost me something in the region of £17! And all for less than £2.50 worth of parts!! Is there somewhere I could order two without ridiculous postage costs?
2. I was really impressed with both feel and sound when I played one a while ago. Superb value for money, and I often point beginner students toward them
3. I have Warwick 3 way and 5 way stands. The older design ones. I also have a 5 way collapsible case by Warwick. Never had issue with any of them
4. Pulsar user here on occasion. Simple with adjustment possible.
5. Hi. A friend of mine bought a secondhand x2 system here, lent it to someone and it was returned in pieces. I have found the part that he needs, but the only place i can find it for sale is in the states, and they have a no international delivery policy ;( the offending part is here - http://www.fullcompass.com/product/378977.html does anyone have any idea of a suitable alternative or this part available in the uk? cheers
6. There is one pedal I have found that can get a reasonable 'inspired by...' Tone. That pedal is the ehx steel leather.
7. Not too keen on the paint job, but would love to get my hands on a nice wave bass. I can only put it down to tom araya and Shane embury
8. I've never tried the poly mode. Singles all the way for me. I bought it for the size
9.
Style over substance.
This should include oasis, and a whole load of others too!
10. For all I actually loathe kol and what they stand for, the bass sound is awesome in this song. I did notice that live, he seems to be using an audio kitchen rig- somewhat similar to Alex James at the final blur gig. Loved that sound too! This could be expensive!!!
11. Surely an email to spares dept couldn't hurt? If you get no joy there try emailing the jap head office and tell them you didn't get a satisfactory response. You may find that the uk guys suddenly start being helpful
12. Not used one of those, but I've been using the polytune mini for over a year now with bass and no issues. Apparently the polytune mode doesn't work with bass, but the single string mode is absolutely fine
13. I do it reasonably regularly. The pace is actually a 35" scale (iirc) and therefore more like playing a fretless vertically if you understand what I'm saying. So in theory the transition should be fairly straightforward
14. I dont think there is much doubt that they do have some real gems in their catalogue. I'm really interested in giving the thunderball a good bash when we see some in retailers stores. Also waiting for the di pedal to arrive
15. Thanks for posting those vids dude! Looks like he's using some orange cabs with his rig- hence the orange deal. Unless of course they're dummies
16. In answer to the first part- you'd have to widen the slots in the nut to accommodate a bead tuning, but not in an mdp kinda way Tbh, it might be easier to fit a new nut
17. I heard a rumour it's based on the ehx bass blogger. I think bigbeatnut on here has one
18. Bought a really really old game from mel. Despite me getting finance wrong, a super easy deal. Cheers mate
19. The tc bh250 is probably worth a look. Comes in around £230 new. There are a few guys on here that own them. The Hartke has superb bang for the buck too.
20. Couldn't get any tickets...... Gutted That woman has a rare voice
21. £65? I'm gassing (and probably always will!) for a Steve Harris sig, two a side aria pro 2 - sb series, maple board p bass, a westbury track 2 or 4, mooer micro di, and thunderball.
22. Good if you want to be isolated from the mains
23. Not sure about the orange thing- although at least one of the other guys uses them. I saw t.c and Mesa backline at donington iirc
