1. Any idea of the weight and is it 34" scale?
2.
Are there three different knobs on the control plate? Not sure by looking at the pictures. Nice bass by the way!
I spy 4. Great basses Carvin and someone will get a killer if they buy this.
3. I've heard some of my scouse friends call Manchester "Mannieland" Steve.
4.
Do Markbass actually make anything class A/B?
Don't think they do any more so it would be a used LM2/3, (pre the change to Class D of the LM3), or an SA450.
5. My VM P 5 String is only 8.5 pounds.
6. I've got 3 x 5'ers and they are all J/J. Would love a P/J.
7. That's the first bass Collection 5'er i have seen with a P/J configuration.
8. Tower Of Power next. Then a week in Valencia and ..... Brother Strut on my return.
9. Cheers, that seems to make sense.
10. Sorry to highjack the thread but we desperately need a new Website and previously I have used programs like WYSWYG to produce the site, but would like to use a Wordpress Template. How do you edit the free templates? Do you have to create a WP account, import the Template and edit it within WP? Can you then export it to host remotely? We already have a "friendly" hosting arrangement. Sorry if this sounds a bit basic, but it is quite a while since our website was rebuilt and t'internet moves at alarming speed.
11. I'm pretty sure they are Celestion BN10 300S, which are Orange label. Just ping Mike Walsh the question on the Zoot Bass Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/zootbass/
12. Warrington isn't too far and I would recommend Gee Electronics. https://www.facebook.com/Gee-Electronics-133545083395228/
13.
I totally agree, and I actually suggested that apart from the five members of our band, we include our partners as band members/roadies etc, because they often help with carrying things in and out, then the band policy would cover any accidental injuries/damage should they happen. To cover up to ten people with AMPband, it's just £79 per year, and split five ways, that's just £15.80 each per year for £10m Public Liability Insurance Cover and £250,000 Legal Cover.
Really it's a no brainer.
14.
I suggested getting PLI cover for our band, but one of our members is against it because he says we are "acknowledging and creating a legal entity that has legal obligations". I'm not sure what he means by this, but is it something to be taken into consideration?
I'm not sure what he means but if you are playing in a band and accepting money in payment you are providing a service and are effectively a business. A local band has a legal eagle amongst their ranks and they are of the opinion that if you are only playing Pubs, as you are invited by the Landlord to play, you are covered by the pubs PLI.
15. Maplin is your friend here. They do a number of Aluminium Cases with foam interiors that you can easily customise to the size you want. Price varies from £25 -£35. I've got 2 of them. https://www.maplin.co.uk/p/small-flight-case-with-foam-interior-n50fu
16. Another vote for Ampband. Used them for years.
17.
Wish they made them for 5-ers as I'd put them into the Fernandes as well.
If they made them for 5-ers, I'd have them in my Bass Collection 5-ers. I put an Entwhistle P - Bass pickup in a friends Harley Benton short scale and it sounded awesome.

19.
The Xlr looks to be riveted on; you'll need to carefully drill out the rivets. Probably best to replace the rivets with screws, using shakeproof washers, when putting in the new socket.
My thoughts exactly. Hopefully a reasonably easy job.
20.
lol...have been running into each other at sessions, not too long ago, told me I should call, when I would be in the UK - do you remember his name...?? Good lord, never saw this, he is looking like a baby..
Yep his name is Pat Howley.
21. Entwistle pickups and Wilkinson Hardware. Sorted The Wilkinson Vintage Bridge is a great buy.
22. Could you PM me the link please. Seriously interested.
23.
There's someone on another forum selling a sub 5-string for under £200.
Original US Sub or one of the newer ones?
24. Vinyl Wrap? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/METAL-CHROME-BRUSHED-SILVER-STICKY-BACK-PLASTIC-SELF-ADHESIVE-VINYL-FILM-FOIL/152130098431?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649
25. Bourns do a massive range of pots in different sizes but I'm sure when I opened up my L-2500, the pots looked a standard size. The Vol is a 250K Audio, the Bass is a 1M Reverse Audio and Treble is a 250K audio.
