    I'd just like to add my ten penneth to this for sale thread. Sometimes the world doesn't make a whole lot of sense. The reality is that the quality and performance inherent in Alan's (ACG) basses is immense. The fact that NYC Sadowsky's are selling for twice what this instrument is is plain crazy. Don't get me wrong I love Sadowsky's. Do yourselves a favour, read the reviews, get yourself over to Liverpool and try this bass (with Ed's agreement ). Oh and the RKS is an amazing bass too, another bargain.

    Yes Lemon oil is the stuff and it will darken slightly if the board is really dry. Don't saturate it though, little and often is better.

    Dave I've used Interparcel many times. An easy to use website and they usually work out cheaper that going direct to the Couriers they use. I've had DHL and UPS do the collection and delivery via Interparcel.     No, I think PM are good and that if he did buy it there it was an honest mistake. I also have a lot of faith in Humanity - seriously! Most people are pretty decent.

    I work in Morecambe at the mo and suspect there's only one music shop. Presumably he bought it 2nd hand? Interesting Maybe they have a Fender J bass in stock with a Tele style neck?

    Opportunities come up for people. Sometimes (usually?) its someone else, maybe this is not the time to suggest its somehow not fair? i.e. maybe it's pointless to moan about someone else's good fortune. Farida are interesting. Chinese made and not the cheapest end of the market. This could be a sign of some really high quality instruments despite the Fenderlike name. I have a Chinese Eastman Mandolin that's not cheap and is quite awesome.

    That cover plate is quite something. If one things for sure its that you can't be sure what the finish will look like until it's finished
