1. Cheers Russ and Nick
2. Somebody buy this. Great basses and a great price.
3. Excellent post Alex
4. I swapped my pair of GS's for a pair of DB's on Friday. Band practice tonight should better inform me. I think the mid scooped response of the GS's gives way to more defined mids. I've just checked out the DB's in my small flat with a LMII turned to vol 5. Whereas the GS's would have had the room destroying itself the DB's sound just as loud but punchier or tighter. I likeee
5. I'll probably have this when you pay me a tenner! (I've got one already) Bump

8. Considered with money my way, sale preferred. Sun's out (for a while hopefully) Camera's working Photos later.
9. Hopefully late tomorrow I'll know how they compare.
10. This is a rare and absolutely mint bass that I've kept as an investment and not played. I'll get some photos up tomorrow. It comes with all the case candy in a silver tolex case etc. I realise that having two fairly rare rics and worrying about how I'm paying for my new build is daft. I'm keeping the 4001CS which I'm inclined to play a bit too as it's too nice to be hidden away. This the the 'Macca' bass with the reversed headstock, vintage nickel plated reverse tuners and the modified body shape. No sharks teeth markers on the neck but dots. Tis a beauty. Looking for £2,400 which is sadly less than I paid for it, recession and all that. Peter
11. Very proud thanks Jas and the pleasure is entirely reciprocated Peter
12.
I thought the mk.1s had through necks? My TRB5P does... Anyhow, lovely bass.
Nope, the P's have thru necks but the MkIs, MkIIs and Patitucci models have bolt ons. Peter
13.
Everything just feels like it's in the wrong place. The body is really unwieldy & uncomfortable too. I had two for about three years & just never got used to them Horrible cheap plastic parts on them too - shameful on a bass that expensive.
Cheap plastic is a bit of a myth anyway Plastic is actually more expensive than most metals, it's just easier to use in the manufacturing process, saving money there. Both my Rics are kinda bass investments (4001CS and 4001C64S). I really should play em more often.
14. Steve is a pleasure to deal with, excellent communication.
15. I was going to take a look at Si's bass tonight but a sober look at my finances makes me realise I can't afford to upgrade my Tribby to a US G&L, even with selling the Tribby. I'm sold a bass to Si before and he's a great guy and these basses are awesome. Bump! Peter
16. I missed the update to this thread. That 71 with the ebony neck sounds just ace. Hoping it all goes well with the mods and I think the vintage tint on the neck is pretty vital
17. An F1 at that price - I'm not surprised.
18. I know it's been said in this thead but I'm not sure it's emphatically clear. Daisy chaining cabs IS parallel connecting them. That link is pretty awful. Resistance and Impedance are different. Once you start going to an AC input the capacitance and inductance of the circuit takes on significance. How high is your LMII cranked up when it cut's out?
19.
I had a very badly worded reply
The post up above isn't exactly worded well. Hmmmmmm....... Maybe we do have a scammer trying his luck on here?
20.
Hi pardon the title i didnt know what to put really. Ive just phoned up matamp and am going to their showroom next week when i get back to huddersfield. I just wondered if anyone had any opinions of these amps and maybe some pictures as i cant find any. It retails at £1300 and apparently any cosmetic changes, faceplate covering etc are covered in that so they sound quite reasonable as i say though it would be great to hear some peoples experiences.
I'm pretty sure Steve (Tayste) has one.
21. Very nice. I love my Tribby and that is a good price too.
22.
Please see the same post in the Bass Amp section...it's a bit more popular! Thanks
Probably because this is likely more intended for problems with Dave's gear.
23. It took 4 months of frustration and lies to get a brand new amp fixed. I'd not trust them with my cash again.
24. John that's a bit grim, having a bass hanger on the outside wall of the house That'll be for the Fender?
