An ass you are - most definitely not A pleasure Martin, top man.
3. If I had more money and fewer basses I'd be seriously tempted, natural HS Sterling with maple sounds absolutely stunning and at this price a bargain too. Bump
4. It certainly did thanks Martin. I think I embarrassed your Uncle in front of his lads, he was struggling with the cab and I took it off him and it was soooo light so I said 'wow this is really light'! Thanks for the nice feedback Peter
5. It looks quite stunning, glad it sounds as good.
6. you can always email me phots at zen141852 at zen.co.uk and I'll host em. Peter
7. In a band or at College? Well done either way
8. Yep the sunburst just doesn't look authentic to me either.

10. The most stunning Sadowsky returns Am I allowed to ask what you paid for it John?
11. Missed it, is it on iPlayer or whatever? Bit of a fan when the mood takes me.
12. Yes cheers Clarky I've done that a week ago. Not heard anything though. Peter
13. I'm likely going to be putting the Ric on eBay with International coverage this weekend. Daren't set the reserve too low though
14. Wouldn't want their basses but their ability would be pretty cool

My/our 1st gig

Well it looks like the 8th Aug is the day. It's going to be a small 'festival' in our drummer's back garden (we're talking rural Cumbria, it's a large and separated walled garden with it's own doorway). We seem to have at least two other established bands coming. My main concern is with an open air gig with other bands all the issues around PA and whose gear gets used (mines not getting abused by anyone but me). Sound is the other consideration. I suspect that 500W will only be any use as a monitor?? I wish we were doing something simpler sooner. It's the 1st gig for all 4 of us too but we really are improving. Lead guitard is still a bit of a plonker at times but at least I know everyone else in the band thinks this now which makes it easier We haven't got a name yet. Lead Guitarist doesn't like 'The Zimmermen'. At 54 I'm the youngest TMD? Three Musicians & a Drummer? Pedro

17. You could try wiring it direct to the jack and see what the output is like that way. Peter
18. I have the slightly cheaper 166XL and paid £130 for it new which was a bargain. If it's as good as the 166 it's bargain of the month time, truth is it's probably better. Buy this before the price goes up guys quick
19.
I've just found more favour with my Boss Tuner (who doesnt?)
Me! I love my Korg rackmount Bump
20. That's a great sentiment there thanks. Stu too mate, ur a star! Peter
21. Aha so it really does exist Carl. Apologies for casting aspersions earlier in the thread. That's 4 photos of the back btw. Edited to say - now it's gone again. Did I imagine it? Peter
22. What is apparent is that they are significantly different. I managed to crank the DB's up at home to quite high levels without everything in the room resonating in sympathy!Played at band practice tonight. More mids definitely and I like the way they insidiously penetrate the mix without getting extremely bassey. If you slap a lot I suspect the GS's will be your friend. Not a huge difference and I'm sure that EQing will level it even more but I'm very pleased. I hope Jas is too but he's owned GS's before so he knows what he's got anyway. Aggy 112's, they're all good. Peter
23. Really pleased with the DB's. Less bottom but more mids. I like mids
