1. I missed the update to this thread. That 71 with the ebony neck sounds just ace. Hoping it all goes well with the mods and I think the vintage tint on the neck is pretty vital
2. An F1 at that price - I'm not surprised.
3. I know it's been said in this thead but I'm not sure it's emphatically clear. Daisy chaining cabs IS parallel connecting them. That link is pretty awful. Resistance and Impedance are different. Once you start going to an AC input the capacitance and inductance of the circuit takes on significance. How high is your LMII cranked up when it cut's out?
4.
I had a very badly worded reply
The post up above isn't exactly worded well. Hmmmmmm....... Maybe we do have a scammer trying his luck on here?
5.
Hi pardon the title i didnt know what to put really. Ive just phoned up matamp and am going to their showroom next week when i get back to huddersfield. I just wondered if anyone had any opinions of these amps and maybe some pictures as i cant find any. It retails at £1300 and apparently any cosmetic changes, faceplate covering etc are covered in that so they sound quite reasonable as i say though it would be great to hear some peoples experiences.
I'm pretty sure Steve (Tayste) has one.
6. Very nice. I love my Tribby and that is a good price too.
7.
Please see the same post in the Bass Amp section...it's a bit more popular! Thanks
Probably because this is likely more intended for problems with Dave's gear.
8. It took 4 months of frustration and lies to get a brand new amp fixed. I'd not trust them with my cash again.
9. John that's a bit grim, having a bass hanger on the outside wall of the house That'll be for the Fender?
10. Yep and that's an ACG rip off
11. I couldn't agree more, such ugly creations: Devil's spawn indeed
12. Aaah yes me looking at Perception price - Perception not Evolution, wake up Peter
13. There's no way their rrp would be a realistic price for a 2nd hand Evolution that's the new price (and there's recently been a price hike methinks) so is misleading. I'd say a little pricey but not outrageous. Peter
14. Nice bass, not so rare but just a Mk1 as opposed to a MkII. I've owned a blue one and a blue MkII. Many prefer the MkI. Peter
15. Here's me not knowing that Nick and Gabrielle were related - doh.
16. The Spector style of jack plug tends to be the type you need to replace rather than repair methinks.
17. I'd just like to add my ten penneth to this for sale thread. Sometimes the world doesn't make a whole lot of sense. The reality is that the quality and performance inherent in Alan's (ACG) basses is immense. The fact that NYC Sadowsky's are selling for twice what this instrument is is plain crazy. Don't get me wrong I love Sadowsky's. Do yourselves a favour, read the reviews, get yourself over to Liverpool and try this bass (with Ed's agreement ). Oh and the RKS is an amazing bass too, another bargain.
18. I love the insane laughter
19. Which one is the new one? Cause the one on the left deserves to be put on someone's wall - mine in fact If someone took that beautiful if slightly ergonomically flawed Ric and created the thing on the right they need shooting
20. Yes Lemon oil is the stuff and it will darken slightly if the board is really dry. Don't saturate it though, little and often is better.
21. Dave I've used Interparcel many times. An easy to use website and they usually work out cheaper that going direct to the Couriers they use. I've had DHL and UPS do the collection and delivery via Interparcel. http://www.interparcel.com/ I think they can all be bad rarely and most of em are okay most of the time and a well packaged and labeled bass is the best insurance going. Peter
22.
It would be better to pm things like that rather than put them on the sales tread.
Yet again, absolutely!
23. Stunning looking instrument their Steve. Get those strings re-strung immediately!
24.
Apparently the dodgy neck is "upgraded"! He's also put the price up by £5
Which is exactly what the music shop will have convinced him. Not that they even noticed of course.
25. No, I think PM are good and that if he did buy it there it was an honest mistake. I also have a lot of faith in Humanity - seriously! Most people are pretty decent.
