2.
Having read through the Bowie tribute thread it reminded me of how much I can't stand the song "Ziggy stardust". Initially I loved it and fought hard to have it in a set list many years ago. However many bands and many gigs later it has become my pet hate and under no circumstances can I even listen to it nowadays and the thought of performing it sends me into a blind panic. Anybody else feel similar about any song on their set list? Or am I simply odd?
My very 1 St gig, and we had to play the passenger . Tedious , monotonous and dull!
3. Nice playing . It'd be pretty cool if your band did a metal version of toac IMHO
4. The annoying thing is she is everywhere. I've done quite well in only having heard a cover of one of her songs by some pop/ metal band a few weeks ago. Also I've managed to avoid most of the celebrity c&&p in the metro and BBC news pages so ,apart from the pretty face I know very little about her.
5.
Splendid, further picture upon its arrival please!
Finally hunted down some screws to put it all together . I still have 3 units that too many. The chorus, overdrive and pitch shifter/delay which will have to be put elsewhere . Had a play for about an hour or so today and love the phaser, reverb, compressor. The flanger is ok,and the jury's out on the digital delay. More time needed to experiment .. Btw ; this pic is upside down . I'm obviously doing something wrong , but I give up
6. The rudy sarzo one is good for metal. Have a bump
7. That guy from the darkness ( who are overrated IMHO ).
8. Wow! One of the best precisions I've seen. Not a great lover of precisions but that's awesome. Excuse my ignorance , but is it s refin or has it aged into that fantastic yellow ? Now keep it !
9.
Perry Farrell? Though I like his voice anyway.
Aaagh no. Only a couple of songs. I'm still traumatised by the experience of seeing him at the Astoria . He was carried out aost nude, eating grapes while being carried by roadies (?) . Way too camp for me . I left 2 mins later
10.
Some voices are certainly acquired tastes, Dave Mustaine of Megadeth is one that jumps to mind.
So true . He sounds like dick dastardly . Puts me off most of their stuff.
11. I nearly forgot ; nirvana the man who sold the world . No wonder curt shot himself. The Bowie version was bad enough.
12. It's always a sticking point trying to get 'that' keyboard equivalent . On single notes , you can get many effects . Playing more than 2 notes seems to be the problem IMHO . I like the digitech bass synth wAh , and the old boss me8b . However , once you look on you pube , there are loads .
13. What about funerals ?
14.
What gets me about MacArthur Park isn't necessarily leaving the cake out in the rain, although that is a foolish thing to to. It is the fact that she'll never have that recipe again, why? Why did she get rid of the recipe, that is carelessness in the extreme, and what happened to it, did she leave it with the cake and the paper became so wet that it broke? Did she throw it in the bin? Did she accidentally drop it on a fire? Anyhow..... For mine: Wonderful tonight - Eric Clapton lay down Sally - Eric Clapton Tears in Heaven - Eric Clapton I think you can see a theme
Totally agree about Clapton. Wonderful tonight is one of the worst things I have ever heard .
15.
Lighthouse Family - tuneless vocals used to drive me mad.
One band, where you can actually say 'it all sounds the same !' Very tedious
16. White stripes. That manic street screeches design for life ,or whatever it's called .
17. Highly strung bump
18. Some of the best Warwicks I've seen .
