1.
we tried it last night and it didn't cut out once. This doesn't necessarily mean it's fixed, but another few rehearsals and gigs with this cable would convince me. So what's the explanation? The jack just goes into the socket a little further?
I had a jack problem( same as yours), with my steinberger. It was fixed eventually . Then, one day , while playing sitting down, I realised the lead was sticking out. I got a different lead, same as dads above - problem solved.
2. Can't do pics right now, but I've probably not explained properly. I think they call them right angle or something . ( I'm working right now). Basically your guitar cable will fit flush in the jack. Rather than stick out . If nobody beats me to it, I'll put pic up later;)
3. Maybe, ( but I doubt if it will work ) - your guitar cables.Have you got a cable that's flat at each end? Try that , especially if sitting down while playing . If not , sell it on flea bay
4.
Not usually a fan of burst finishes, but that is a great colour combination.
+1
5. Wow ! They look good. I'll be investigating further , Cheers Tony
6. I thought it was gonna be just a bass clip as such. I heard all this diva type stuff going on, and haven't the patience to wait for the song to start.
7. Thanks Tony . there are 2 types of Boss amps as you probably know. I like the micro ones with the drum machine. The 120 watt cube xl with the looper was what I was thinking of . They seem to have everything on there without complications. Apparently, they are a little on the heavy side. Not in a band ,,or gigging at the moment. Just playing with myself
8. ..please move if in wrong topic. I may have mentioned this before, but whilst browsing you pube, the boss amp looks simple and straightforward to use . I like the looper function also . If I was to offload my seperate boss micro series effects,,and gallien Krueger amp and purchase the boss amp instead, am I mad? Should I keep the setup I already have ? Please comment
9. With megadeath ( ignoring the Metallica issue ), they are patchy . Mustaine cannot sing. Peace sells , is the nearest they'll get to puppets. Only IMHO now it's the daves &co. I play them sparingly
10. Maybe if they played the Italian equivalent , it may be better. Do today's heroes listen to that stuff? Not exactly slayer is it ?! I do have one confession tho' ; as a dare me & a few friends used to select songs from the pub dukeboxes with the intention of finding the most irritating song. I found sally by Gracie fields. Coats were got..
11.
+1 Great bass player, one of my earliest influences.. His bass lines are so distinctive on the first few Alice Cooper albums, they almost define the songs.. And I agree with the OP; his jazz bass was very 'bling' for it's time!
You said everything I was gonna say
12. Sitting in cafe Nero at the moment, and all this 'wartime ' music is being played. I f@@king hate it! Always depressed me as a kid. Vera Lynne ( rhymes with gin)- totally depressing . She won't be meeting me again. Never met her the first time . There must have been a major bipolar problem in the 3os/ 40s with that drivel being played . Thankfully , I have my headphones with me .
13.
Mmmmmmm.....
If that was sea foam green...
14.
£45k and a bad back for the rest of the buyers life tho' I guess it will not see much action.
If it's like the price, it'd be way too high
15. He is still alive, and able to sign an autograph or two if he wants. John bonhams 4sticks on the other hand , what price for those ?
16. I have the me 8b. The first multi effect I ever bought. Only had a stereo chorus foot pedal before that. What I remember about my purchase £350 new when released), is that the manual took me ages to understand . I never purchased the volume pedal or foot switch until many years later, so never got as much usage or enjoyment as I do now . So, I have the rack series , and that. Please don't tell me about the s e series. If they are better than the micro series, I dont want to offload the rack series and start over again
17. Looks like a vgc original would be just the job.? It'd be worn in, and if you hung it on the wall you have something a lot cheaper. Plus , you could actually play it without waiting for the first ding,) Forgot to add, that I do like display cases . Bass ones seem expensive and hard to track down, while ordinary guitar cases are cheaper and more common.
18. I like that green one. Have you seen my for sale ad?
19. Aguilar head, with a no tweeter cab ag500 ( what Essex bass cat is selling) db112 cab
20. Mm mm,not so rich cliff burton fan here;) Approx £4000 UK pounds? I wonder how much an ordinary original aria model with be? Also, resale value ? Not sure tbh. I saw him onstage playing both basses ,and the mix sounded the same. Especially anaesthesia . Jury's out
