  1. Break out the glitter, Mornats!
  2. Maybe Lurks didn't mean you singing? Just sayin'
  3. Thanks for taking the time Lurkio!
  4. Bass chords!!!!
  5. You might be able to do something about the recording with a compressor. If you use a slow attack, you might just get the sound you want without re tracking it.
  6. Here's my entry, I was hoping to do something new this month, but the band has been stopped dead for the month (at least) My guitarist has broken 2 fingers on his left hand, so this is something from earlier. It's another Robyn Hitchcock cover, Driving Aloud (Radio Storm). This is one of those recordings where something occurred that would be difficult to repeat. The quiet sitar-like drone was caused by the guitarist's cuff button catching the strings, didn't notice it until mixdown I'm quite pleased with my maracas playing, the backing vocals, not so much. What do you folks think of the recording, (rather than the performance)? Cheers MBA Driving Aloud (Radio Storm).mp3
  7. More of a solo singer songwriter name, I'd have thought...
  8. Designer Dungeon.
  9. Your bbot to will be chrome or bright nickel plated, the gold coloured one will be actual gold plating. May not be very thickly applied, but it is still real gold. No need for the " "
  10. Spot on, Charic! Where can I get tickets for Pink Torpedo Profanity Test?
  11. Yeah, give us a clue will ya?
  12. Interesting Telecaster - What is it? good tune btw!
  13. Ah, more than 3 steps to Kevin then.
  14. Another +1 for the Chicago version. The single version packs a lot into a short space. The guitar tone is really mean too, I love it!
  15. ScummoCaster or Log, by Blammo!
  16. I have the opposite issue, being small, most regular sized basses look massive on me, like on Suzie Quattro... The Mustang PJ is right up my street, but I'm not allowed any more basses or guitars
  17. If the 350 in the amp name refers to output power, the current consumption will be considerably higher, as amplifiers are not 100% efficient.
  18. Holy snit, he should come to one of our gigs, usually one, sometimes two broken strings on my guitarists telecaster. He doesn't even play lead, no massive bends or anything, he's just a heavy handed rhythm player! I bought Graphtech saddles for him years ago, made not a jot of difference.
  19. If you can find one, a Trace Acoustic cube is nice sounding for acoustic. It has reverb and a notch filter, and can be mounted on a Mic stand for use as a personal monitor at head height. They are quite rare though!
  20. A possible downside could be that the unused machines may rattle. Not the pegs themselves as they can usually be adjusted to take up any slack, but the posts. I've seen this on cheaper 12 strings, of course this may be a non-issue with the Ovation.
  21. re: fan noise; I'm sure you could put a thermal switch in series with the fan for turning it off at low volume/temperature.
  22. ..... is the correct answer!!
  23. That looks yummy!
