1. Can you play bass through it quietly? Might be another selling point.
2. I always think "stickleback" when I hear "Nickelback". That's all.
3. Sounds very "loose".
4. People only like my playing a Lidl, not a lot.... I'll get me shellsuit
5. I think they sound great, this is LIVE, not the record! Loving the horns too.
6. maybe there aren't many because a lot of pa speakers are going self-powered?
7. I'd expect them to react similarly if it was only the temperature that changed, how about big changes in humidity though?
8. The movement on MusicMan basses might be to do with the minimal finish on the necks, no? I imagine this allows the neck to take on moisture from atmospheric humidity more readily.
9. Spector Legend s/h should fit your bill. The 35" scale sounds very authoritive.
10.
That's as in it should get just as loud with 150watts with 600watts, but out experience more is better, giving you more headroom, a safe 250 should see you getting the most out of it.
I don't think this is exactly what this spec means. I'm pretty sure it won't reach its maximum s.p.l. with 150 watts. Best ask Barefaced Alex though....
11. How about Todd Rundgren vs John Lennon? An open letter was in the Melody Maker
12. U-Retro has flexi connectors for the pots so you can position them as you like
13.
Now do the decent thing, post a larger version for a caption competition
"WANTED - three wedge monitors, must be comfortable under foot"
14.
So this is where it ended up! I played this in the Gallery; it's a great little bass and as Dood says, light as a feather (made even more comfortable by the ergonomics). Quite tempted actually, despite the string spacing being too wide for me, but I must try and hold out for another custom SEi.
You should know that the bridge string width is adjustable. The nut looks the same or narrower than your old flamboyant
15. Yup, that's pretty much a U-Retro by John East.
16. Blue LEDs are quite bad for your eyes too - there's loads on the net about it e.g. : http://ledsmagazine.com/news/7/11/13 cellular oxydative stress anyone?
17. One thing I found with the MXR that isn't really obvious until you read the manual is that it is designed to always give the same sweep for a given setting regardless of how hard you play. Given the choice, I would now go for something that give a more touch sensitive sweep, though I do like the sounds you can get out of it. My band doesn't like me using it though, there's always some comment about 70's porn film soundtracks....
18.
Incense, wine and candles.
And a bubble bath?
19. Even if they were two guys, I would still have considered their style HIGHLY derivitive. That's not to say I didn't enjoy it though.
20.
Deap Vally are just The Black Keys in drag.
That was EXACTLY what I thought. Well put.
21. Always happy to help!
22. if you just run from the send of the first I think it will mute the output unless the signal is returned in the, er, return socket. I'd send the tuner out from the first into the return of the second. Shouldn't be too hot a signal because the effects loop runs at line level.
23. again, if you can test the terminals with a meter and they read somewhere between 3 and 7 ohms, that will give an idea the voice coil is intact. Check the cone for rubbing noises as you gently push the cone evenly in the axis of cone movement (in and out!)
24.
2nd dibs, please!
OP has first dibs if I come to sell again
25. quick, easy transaction for a BF Midget, Jez is a top guy and I wouldn't hesitate to deal again with him. Cheers Jules
