Total Watts

1. Quick update on the weight. It's (a shade under) 4.4Kg. Bass now receiving some love and attention ond once I have it back from the tech folks, I'll be able to take more pictures. Thanks for everyone's interest.
2. Good question. "Heavy-ish" is my first (and not very helpful) answer. Bass isn't with me right now, and I don't know off the top of my head, so it'll be a day or two until I can post a reply.
3. Up for grabs - my last remaining bass (having sold my Wal on here back in 2013, and my Sei Bass a couple of years ago...) It's an early Dolphin Pro 1 - with the usual early-model woods and Bartolini pickups. In good condition, just a few light wear marks from resting thumbs and fingers in the usual places around the pickups. It's been sitting around unplayed (I know, I'm sorry!) for years, so if it sells, I'll get it up to the guys at The Gallery for some TLC and new strings before shipping. Not a bass for the shy-and-retiring bassist, I ran this through a mix of Trace and Hartke stacks and it never failed to delver a *huge* sound 🙂 Attached a couple of pictures, and if there's any interest I'm happy to take some more. Extra info: The scribble on the back is Hans-Peter Wilfer's, it says "For Peter from Peter", and he signed it after I'd picked this bass out of a row of 10 Dolphins at the factory. He said "Yes, that's the best one", and it turns out it's the one that was used in all the promotional material at the time. I have a copy of the UK A4 factsheet with pictures of this bass, and can include this with the bass if anyone's interested. Pretty sure the signature stuff will come off with a bit of alcohol, but I won't do that until the bass is sold...
4. Thanks for the post Mike. Roy and I have been pm-ing.
5. It says "Wal" on the sticker on the inside :-)
6. Some interest (at last), so If anyone out there wants to ask any questions or make a bid, then please do it soon. Thanks to all those who have enquired so far.
7. Hi TheGreek, Many thanks for your helpful posts! I'll certainly try my luck on the WalNaturally forum (I'm preparing to lose a couple of days as I read through it too - I'll always be a fan!) All the best, Peter
8. Seems like you're in the minority - no interest at all so far. Does no-one even want to make me an offer? (oh, and *bump*!)
9. Up for sale, after too many years of not being played, is my beautiful Wal fretless bass. Made in 1987, I've owned it from new (I was eighteen then!), and to be honest, it's like selling a limb - albeit one that I haven't used for a while. It's immaculate, somehow avoiding any major knocks and bangs over the years. Core is mahogany, facings are padauk, neck is the classic hornbeam / mukulungu / maple mix. Fingerboard is ebony. I know the "lined fretless" look isn't especially cool, but I hope that someone out there will take the plunge and learn to love this bass the way I have for over half my life (wipes tear from eye). Pics are at: http://s1325.beta.ph...wford1/library/ I'm not looking to trade as I have two other basses that are not getting any use and am slowly building up to the idea of selling those too. <edit>Should have mentioned that I'm located near Windsor, Berkshire</edit>
