1. Headless? But whats gonna stop your hand flying off the end of the neck?
2. To be fair it is still a stingray 5 with piezo, a good quality instrument even if it's not aesthetically pleasing to most people. I think it's still worth £500-£600 for what it is. And all the hardware seems to be in fine condition despite the 'custom paintwork' on the body.
3. Bump for 3 stunning basses.
4.
Not sure I agree with CA thing I find her goergeous...... Back to the Leah, I've seen the geetars in the flesh and they dont look lewd at all, for once the pics dont do them justice...... Not my taste and I wont be buying one, however they are very nicely made and look pretty darn good up close..
I totally agree, she is gorgeous now, I was just talking about the 'dirty' phase.
5. Sort of attractive in a wierd way... like christina aguilera... you know it's wrong but you can't stop staring.
6. If only this was a four string. It's bloody gorgeous and must sound amazing but I just cant get along with fivers.
7. I might be way off, but i'd guess around £600-£700?
8. I'd pick this this piece of old wood over the spector any day. There's an explanation on the website here.
9. I really love this bass but i'm just not sure fretless is for me. Original for sale thread with pictures can be found here. I'd like to trade for something fretted and i'm open to ideas on what bass. Pickup preferred (or meeting half way). Thanks in advance for your time, Mat
10.
At Ipswich Last night they played for an hour and 40 mins neally, 3 song encore with huge long bass solos, fantastic night, Mk11 sounded fabulous, Now wheres my Capri parked!
I was there too. It was amazing, they sure as hell still got it. I agree the Mk II sounded amazing, especially on that looped solo, reminded me why I love status.
11.
I dont think you guys realise how great the MuRF is...
Especially when you forget to turn it off at a gig and the next band on is playing Valerie.
12. From the choices avaliable: 1)... 2)... 3)... 4)... 5)Marcus Miller 6)Geddy Lee 7)Stuart Zender 8)... 9)Pino Palladino 10)Stanley Clarke But I think the real question is, WHERE'S MARK KING??? EDIT: ...AND WHERE IN GODS NAME IS LARRY GRAHAM?!?!?!?
13. On looks alone, i'd go for the standard. The shape of the deluxe doesn't look right IMO.
14. Now thats a classic looking bass, tort on white is possibly the best combo on fenders. If you were closer i'd be tempted to try it out. I played a squier P bass the yesterday and was suprised by how good it sounded so i'd be interested in looking into squiers a bit more.
15.
Sorry I'll get me coat.
Or several coats for a better finish. (now that's a bad joke)
16. I think he made a typo... he must mean 250 frets not 25.
17. That's gonna look great when it's finished. The chrome along side the red laquer will give it a real sort of retro 50's cadillac look. I look forward to seeing how this turns out.
18.
I REALLY want this bass. If I get the cash soon I will 'ave off ya!
Now that's what I like to hear.
19. I hope we one day see MIE (made in england) fenders... I mean who does it better than the british? I could make them in my garage! (Well I probably couldn't, but I could try)
20. Sorry Sam but that's a blue bass for sure. The lighting is just a bit shadowed in some of the pictures.
21. BUMP That's one hot looking bass. If it was mine i'd get a tort pickguard made for it... oh god, please don't tempt me. GAS is a terrible thing.
22. kahler bass tremolo!!!
23. There was a used one on this forum just recently for £650. Same as what I payed for my Ray. I had gas for that LE buttercream finish for ages.
24. Bugger, why is the recycling section of the forum always such a race (a race which I never win). Never mind, I probably wouldnt have had a lot of space for it anyway.
25. Change the stringing to EADGC. You'll fall in love with it all over again. It's such a special bass you should never part with it.
